I've yet to see a player with "leverage" fare well dealing with the Pats.

Someone moves up on the depth chart and the Pats sign an experienced vet is my bet.

Levoir should be ready for more snaps he has size potential and has been coached for a little while by Dante.
I agree though let's bring Mankins on the field.
Heres to a Welker like recovery for Nick.

If they don't they think they have the answer in house, (although I'm not sure who it would be) do you guys actually think he Pats aren't going to go out and pick up a FA and/or swing a trade in the next 3-4 weeks?

Well its not like Kazur was an All Pro guard. As far as i know he never played the position before, he was an un-known quantity.

Gee that sucks....the guys takin his place are not starters. Brady is going to get killed. if he does not have a new contract by the first pre season game he should make up an injury until they sign Mankins.

Light, Koppen, Neal, and Volmer make up a pretty damn good 4/5 of the line and I think they can overcome a weakness.

Hopefully something can be worked out with Mankins and this was the hope before Kaczur's injury anyway.

Worst case scenario someone halfway decent should emerge from the group of younguns and journeymen Connelly or better.

As I asked in another thread and got no responses, can anyone describe a realistic scenario where Mankins isn't starting week 1? For a situation to be "realistic", you have to explain how Mankins benefits from that course of action.

Really? We in all likelihood have upgraded at RT with Vollmer over Kaczur, we have the same RG, C and LT as last year. We are "short" a good LG. IF (big IF) They sign Mankins, all we have lost is our backup RT. If they don't sign Mankins, then they need to get a good LG hopefully an experienced vet via FA or a trade.

Not to mention we have one of THE best OL coaches in the NFL.

So explain how "we're ****ed", again?

even the smallest back injury for a OL men is bad news... looks like 6th round pick Ted Larsen, is going to make the 53 man roster.

Connolly played almost all of 5 games last season and there was no significant difference in our offense. The running game was similar to the other 11, the pass protection was similar as well.
Will him stepping in for Mankins instead of Neal change that? We don't know.
Will he be improved after playing 1/3 of the season with the 1s? We don't know.
I do know that we will have a professional football player at LG, one that BB and Scarnecchia feel is competant, and I am sure that a offense as good as we have can survive an OL holdout or injury without Brady getting put in the hospital.
To speak as if we have seen enough of Connolly to know what his play will be at this point is a guess, and what you will see is those who revel in ripping the team or BB will use this too tell us the sky is falling and those that do not like to face bad news will gloss in over.
The reality is probably the middle ground, just like last season when you lose a starter at G and replace them with their backup you will see sme degradation in the offense but nothing really significant.
So, go on everyone use Connolly a a catalyst for your agendas.

its obviously in Mankins best intrest to be collecting a check week one but does that mean for the patriots? I think if this thing can be fixed or if it cant there would likely be a resolution before the season starts.

do you always put words in someone else's mouth to start an argument? I just pointed out what we've all seen historically and posted my OPINION about future possibilities. You want a fight punch yourself in the mouth.
