Arrington's promotion came after Mangini's bid - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston
Old story but a nice read for those who don't know a whole lot about Arrington who wasn't well known before this year!

His play against slot receivers has been much improved this season. Hopefully we can get some bodies back in the secondary and he return to that position.

    No Jersey Selected

Was sh*t hot in special teams in 09. Delighted to see him get some reps in 10.

    This year he's been fantastic.

He was a beast on special teams, every kick return you would see #27 in on the tackle!

I remember this happening, but sometimes I do think it was Bret Lockett that Mangini tried to sign!

Arrington isn't a HOFer, but we could have alot worse!

Iliked this guy from the moment he showed up. Extremly intelligent and well spoken. He gets it and seems to be just the kind of guy the Belichick loves. Kyle Arrington has been a revelation this year. I'm lovin' it, just lovin' it....

Well thank GOD we kept him. I remember last year always thinking he reminds me of a prototypical bears corner. Charles Tillman type potential. Also Arrington knows what to do with the ball when he gets his hands on it he is elusive and can break tackles

Kyle has proven to be one of those intelligent-Patriot type players who maximize their talent and make the crucial smart plays. A Vrabel, Troy Brown, Otis Smith like guy who is one of the glues of the team.

Can throw BJGE, Edelman and Fletcher into that mix.. these are the guys who can excel in our system.

For all the posters who bash BB on his draft record, he MUST receive credit for sourcing, developing and playing UFAs that contribute- specifically a guy like Kyle Arrington who goes from a special teams standout who is now leading the NFL in INTs. Incredible.

Don't forget about Ninkovich and Love.

It was great the way they showed the stat at the beginning of the Chiefs game, "most UDFA on the roster in the league" as if it were a negative thing.

I honestly wonder how some of these games go if our "terrible defense" doesn't make some of the stops that it does make.

It's funny.. Last year when i went to the Pats-Jets game in NY..we went to a bar/restaurant first before the game and there were these 6 people..all with arrington jerseys on. I yelled go Pats to them and the did the same..never thought anything of it before but i am guessing it was his family.

My little story/rant for the day :D

Comments have been made -other forums- how he isn't that good or whatever and how he is "Lucky" to have his interceptions -but Hello he is playing good enough to put himself right where the ball is so he can catch them.

He seems like a pretty good guy too- I follow him on twitter and we have "tweeted" three or four times and he did wish my son a happy birthday in October.

Funny - - same thing happened to me down here in Maryland with a family wearing BRACE jerseys last year. Was too shy to go up to them and make any small talk.

Arrington's 7 INTs are more than all the other Patriots CB's combined this season ( Bodden, McCourty, Adams, Dowling, Molden, have combined for one INT total, which was Adams ).

What most people don't realize is that Arrington's 10 PD ( passes defended ) are also more than the other Pats CB's combined this season ( Bodden, McCourty, Adams, Dowling & Molden have combined for 8 passes defended total.)

    Disable Jersey

The devastation of the Patriots' secondary this season (partly self-inflicted) makes the emergence of Arrington all the more pleasing. Hard-hitting, sure-handed: two great assets.
