Award for Samuel
CB Asante Samuel has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after totaling three interceptions in Sunday's 17-13 victory over the Bears. Samuel became the first Patriots player to snare three interceptions in a game since Roland James on Oct. 23, 1983. He also became just the second player in the NFL this season to total three interceptions in a game.

Colts RB Joseph Addai and Bills punt returner Roscoe Parrish were named AFC Offensive Player of the Week and AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively.

Samuel is the second Patriots player to earn an AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor. DE Jarvis Green earned the award in Week 4.

didnt ty law snag 3 against the colts in the playoffs in 2003?

congrats to asante though

They were speaking of "regular season".

Reiss has now corrected his error, accpeting the regular season point.

But there should be an astericks next to Ty Law, as the three picks were before the Colts cried to the NFL about physical play, thus improving the receivers ability to catch the ball. Asante did his under the microscope of "zero contact".

But, not against mister "laser rocket arm" :p

Lol, sounds good, but we should then put an astericks next to every statistic every couple of years because of rule changes, the game getting more competetive, different refs.

Or better yet, when someone leaves the Pats and us fans turn on them, we'll just wipe them from our record books & memories, make them unpersons.

According to Peyton, Ty was out of position and that's why he made the picks.....

My wife, who is only a semi fan, but can recognize anything Patriot, saw that commercial and said,
"Is that a wig and fake mustache?". The salsa came out my nose on that one.....
