A lot of this has been discussed before, but he makes an interesting point about the value of trading high into the draft getting closer to mid round picks. I'm not sure if I agree with that because teams need talent so much, but if you compare it to the baseball draft, a lot of teams draft the most signable player rather than the best player, due to the cost. Of course baseball doesn't have a salary cap.
