this used to be a big advantage for the pats win or lose between 01 and 04 they were 2-0 (03 colts 04 colts) against teams in the postseason that they beat that same regular season and 2-0 (01 rams 04 steelers) agaisnt teams they lost to. since then they are 2 (06 jets, 07 chargers)-1 (07 giants) against teams they beat and 1 (06 jets) - 2 (05 broncos, 06 colts) vs teams they lost to. have teams been able to learn something from the pats in the past few years that helps them make the proper adjustments in the rematch that they were not making before, or have the patriots just been unable to close out some of these teams because of some other reasons?

Broncos loss in post season was due to questionable officiating. Pats can't control that, only the Colts can control the officials.
Colts loss in post season was due to excessive heat. How can the Pats control the weather in the Homerdome, only the Colts can.
