That bright red state, Utah, defeated the voucher question on the ballot yesterday...

    http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,695225580,00.html

Supporters say it was a worthy fight. But after eight full months of aggressive campaigning and millions of dollars spent on the battle, the voucher law was rejected by Utah voters.

Opponents are relieved. And while some voucher proponents say they are at least satisfied with how far they had come, others say the 62 percent vote that defeated the private school voucher law — which lost in every county in the state — is a disgrace.

"I'm ashamed of Utah that this could even be a close vote," said Patrick Byrne, CEO of Overstock.com, who has donated millions of dollars to support vouchers. "This is parents looking at their kids getting a third-rate education and other kids getting basically a death sentence and saying, 'That's OK by me

The left wing politically correct suck and f-ck Hollywood communist democrats are scared to death of losing control of the brainwashing agenda that they are using to gain control of our childrens minds and turn them into little socialist progressive liberals.

The rich R & D politicians all send their children to private schools, but the filthy swine don't want you to do it.

If you can find it possible Home School your children and get them out of those public zoo's.

The subtle irony of this issue is that this is one where much of the typical democratic base stand in opposition to the party platform.

In otherwords, if we went into the inner city, poor minority neighborhoods you would see people voting 98% democratic... but these same people are also the ones most likely to support school vouchers if given the chance.

I didn't know the left wing voting establishment was so prevalent in Utah.

Neither did I this country is so screwed up now you never know whats coming next and of course many right wings must of voted against vouchers to get this outcome, maybe they haven't experienced as much of that Politically Correct Left Wing Crap that is now going on in other states.

Many of the smaller towns in Maine still have the old time basic common sense teachings (the three R's) and they still have halloween & Xmas partys but the Crap is Creeping in, Portland has overnight become a "Little Frisco" and they just made themselves heard around the world with their "Birth Control For 11 Year Old Girls", I wonder what the dippy looney bastards will dream up next.

The only hope we have now is that Islam will take over and kill all these whacky bastards.

Well, I am an informed individual that follows current events and reads newspapers, news magazine and news websites.

It's called being educated and informed. You should try it sometime. Or perhaps you're afraid you might learn something..?

Someone told me recently that today's school system is a modern day form of communism with every child skyrocketing to mediocrity at best.

Cant afford to go on a field trip? Dont worry, the rest will pay your way

Cant afford to play sports? Dont worry, the rest will pay your way

Cant afford to quit smoking in order to have money for your child's lunch? Dont worry, the rest will pay your way.

Have a child who is overachieving? Dont worry, the rest of the pack will catch up with him/her as we ignore them in order to focus on the sped kids who are mostly behavior kids instead of retarded kids these days.

If you think behavior kids are thrown in with special ed kids, if you are saying most kids in special ed are behavior kids, then you have never visited a spec ed classroom, nor done any research on the subject, thus are talking out of your arse. Any questions?

    BINGO!

Rightwingers constantly whine about social programs being "entitlements and handouts", yet sing a different tune when it comes to vouchers because they simply want to funnel money to private/religious schools where the "conservative ideology" tends to be more prevalent. If you had any doubt, RW certainly gave it away with his idiotic rant about the "indoctrination" of kids in public schools. This isn't about education or kids, it's just yet another ploy by the rightwingers to try to use public funds to force their ideology of hate, intolerance and ignorance onto our most vulnerable citizens. Fortunate, if surprising, that the citizens of Utah were able to resist the propaganda. Bodes well for the rest of the country.

    P.S.
If you can't afford to live in a neighbourhood with good schools, then don't have kids. If you're irresponsible enough to have kids that you can't afford, don't expect others to subsidize your irresponsibility.

Meanwhile the liberals get to keep their doctrine of hatred, intolerance and bigotry and thrust it upon American's children.
    Amen, brother... amen...

As you continue your hate filled arguments, guess you still cannot back this up.. your credibility is seriously lacking on most of your arguments.

Ohio Goes After Charter Schools That Are Failing

Public charter schools are the answer, since they foster creativity, but don't take money from the public schoo system and are subject to far more openness than private enterprise. Private charter schools are taking tax payer money but failing at an alarming rate, despite the fact that they generally attract better students.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/08/u...rss&adxnnlx=1194524413-e7ydzyqe0AsT3dMhRw3ssw

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio became a test tube for the nation’s charter school movement during a decade of Republican rule here, when a wide-open authorization system and plenty of government seed money led to the schools’ explosive proliferation.

But their record has been spotty. This year, the state’s school report card gave more than half of Ohio’s 328 charter schools a D or an F.

Now its Democratic governor and attorney general, elected when Democrats won five of Ohio’s six top posts last November, are cracking down on the schools, which receive public money but are run by independent operators. And across the country, charter school advocates are watching nervously, fearful the backlash could spread.

Attorney General Marc Dann is suing to close three failing charter schools and says he is investigating dozens of others. It is the first effort by any attorney general to close low-performing charter schools.

    Back To The Murdering Drunk:
Uncle Teddy is the "King Of Liberalism" one of Uncle Teddy's biggest obsessions was
"Forced School Bussing" it all blew up his face it was and is a dismal failure.
Uncle Teddy showed the whole world the Hypocrisy Of Liberalism, none, not one of those
"Kennedy Royals" would ever allow any of their children to even walk by a Public School let alone attend one.

America's Public Schools are now nothing but "Zoos For Humans" where students beat up teachers, students shoot each other, students have oral sex in the ladies room (it's ok, the president did it) students do drugs in class, students sell drugs and guns in the schoolyard, your public schools are now a weapon for the Far Left Wing Socialst Progressive Brainwashing Factory's.
Move to the boondocks, home school or private school if you can afford it, get your child out of the Politically Correct Left Wing Sh!t.

If your child is a White American Christian your child is now the New Victim Of Discrimination And Hate.

    Thats My Word
    Now Lets Hear Yours
    Fair And Balanced

If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans
