I once heard a wise man say: never **** anyone crazier than yourself. Words to live by...

It really depends on your jurisdiction, but I think it might be better to find a trusted friend/relative to hold it or to sell it. Unless it is a rare gun of some kind, you can (depending on your state law) buy another one when you are feeling better. Getting the police involved could harm you down the road. There would almost certainly be record of you admitting some sort of mental instability.

According to this logic, some men commit rape so that means all men must have their penises cut off.

While that might not bother our friends in Virginia, I can assure you that a lot of us would not be on board with that solution. :D

Am I the only one in here who thinks that everytime someone innocent is killed as a result of gun violence, PFnV immediately does a celebratory dance and then races his wife to the family computer to see who can post about it in here first?

imho, he should to try at least pretend he doesn't enjoy it when things like this happen.

Considering there are over 90 gun deaths per day in the USA that can hardly be the case now, can it?

Do you think Harry does a "celebratory dance" every time he posts about a gun death in Chicago?

If not, why not? After all, he posts about it almost daily. Sometimes in multiple threads. I'm sure if we did a look-back, we'd find a lot more Harry/Chicago threads than we'd find gun violence threads by MrP or even myself.

And lastly, since I'm curious, do you and your spouse share a "family computer?" How very quaint, if you do. Most adults have their own now.

Whether or not you're the only one here who speculates about my state of mind, flattering though it may be, I don't do a celebratory dance when I pull three easily found shootings. There are hundreds on an average day to choose from. And, were I delighted by the prospect of a human being dying of a gunshot, well, you'd think I'd buy me a gun, right?

Fail. But you're so cute when you keep trying, slugger!

Men who commit sex crimes, even as minor as peeing in an alley or looking thru a window or brushing up against a woman on the bus, don't have to have their penises cut off...but they do have to register for the rest of their lives as a sexual offender.

They also have a whole slew of rules they must follow....including the following:

Community corrections officers must approve sex offenders’residence and living arrangements. Offenders cannot move without permission. Generally, the release address of sex offenders is scrutinized to assess potential risk to the community and for the offender. Sex offenders often cannot own or control personal computers. If community corrections officers permit access to computers, they normally must have blocks that prevent access to specific sites. Offenders also cannot have contact with magazines, videos, telephone sites or anything else with pornographic content. Offenders must allow their community corrections officers to inspect every part of their homes.

Offenders must disclose information about their conviction(s) to potential adult sexual partners before beginning sexual relationships. They also must inform their CCO of romantic relationships so they can ensure no potential child victims are accessible. Some offenders may be required by their CCO to disclose their criminal history to their families and friends.

Offenders cannot purchase, possess or consume any mind or mood altering substances, including alcohol or drugs that haven’t been prescribed by doctors. They may have to undergo chemical dependency treatment and follow prescribed treatment, which may include Alcoholics Anonymous or other recovery meetings. Offenders are required to submit to urine and/or breathalyzer tests to monitor compliance. They also must submit to DNA and HIV testing.

Felony offenders may not own, use or possess firearms or ammunition.

So yeah, if someone's got a temper problem or an anger management problem or a mentally ill problem or a domestic violence problem and he's been convicted of it, I'm fine with the the same sort of rules regarding guns as I am with the ones regarding sexual offenders.

True. You cannot ever break up with her. And you better not get caught cheating on her.

We all know you don't care about the gun deaths that take place in Chicago or other inner city locales. But when there is an attack in white suburbia, look out patsfans.com! Here come the Virginians!
Well, since you asked, I live alone and I have my personal laptop, my work laptop, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones and a Microsoft Surface. So I generally don't have to wait in line to access the internet.
