Is McConnell saying that there is a better chance of conviction in a Military Court than a Civilian Court?

Would love to see the facts concerning how many people are convicted by juries in US Courts. If McConnell wants a 100% conviction rate then I suggest moving the trial to China, North Korea, etc.

    Military Tribunals are.

    A. Quicker

    B. Cheaper

    C. The prisoners are already housed on a Military Base.

Absolutely no reason to have these in civilian court.

Were you complaining when the Bush Administration did the same thing?

Where was McConnell when that illegal immigrant was put to death in Texas last week? Seems to me that civilian jury did the right thing.

Yes, they should of been executed or sentenced years ago.

Mitch McConnell is one of several poster children for term-limits.

So you are saying that suspected terrorists or any non-citizen accused of a crime should not get a fair trial in the USA?

Do you think an enemy combatant should be freed if he is captured and interrogated on a battlefield but not read his Miranda rights and give a call to a lawyer before interrogation?

Why do you think a military tribunal wouldn't provide a fair trail?

US Military members are subject to military tribunals (Court Marshals) , are you saying that enemy combatants are more entitled than US Soldiers?

    REALLY?

The guy we are talking about wasn't captured on a battlefield. What is a battlefield nowadays?

McConnell inferred that civilian juries are hopeless and that Military tribunals are much better...........in getting a conviction.

Why do you think a civilian jury trial wouldn't be fair?

Not for nothing but I think the overwhelming majority of Americans hate terrorists. Lets see the evidence and go forward.

Terrorists, enemy combatants, or whatever other name you want to give them, shouldn't be tried in civilian courts.

Mitch McConnell is indeed a poster child for term limits. Lots of the folks in DC are.

Where should these people be tried? Send them all to the UN? A US Military Court isn't exactly going to be fair.

I agree with you on McConnell.

Both venues are remarkably successful, as has been shown in the past..

Do not get the Casey Anthony Link though, she is a sociopath who got away with murder, but is not a terrorist.. unless we change the definition.

The reality is that the rule is most indictments result in findings of some type of guilt, the Anthony Trial is an exception..

Did you take the same logic course that Patriots Reign took, subtitled how to create hysteria in three sentences or less.

Your third sentence makes no sense and is not salient to the issue at hand.. the reality is that there are constitutional safeguards in both venues and both are remarkably successful.

pf13 is saying that military tribunals ignore the evidence and convict. That isn't true but some people think that civilians are "soft" when it comes to trials.
