Just curious to see who you would draft of the QBs from the '08-'10 drafts. Some of these guys are still unknown due to injuries and less playing time. However, if you were the GM, how would you order the list if you knew what you know now. There are 12 on the list.

Matt Ryan
Joe Flacco
Chad Henne
Matt Flynn
Matthew Stafford
Mark Sanchez
Josh Freeman
Sam Bradford
Tim Tebow
Jimmy Clausen
Colt McCoy
Joe Webb

Here's mine:

1. Matt Ryan
2. Sam Bradford
3. Josh Freeman
4. Joe Flacco
5. Matthew Stafford (was playing great in year two before injury)
6. Colt McCoy
7. Joe Webb (physical freak... jury out on decision making)
8. Tim Tebow
9. Matt Flynn
10. Mark Sanchez
11. Chad Henne
12. Jimmy Clausen

Can't argue too much with that. Despite a down year, I think Flacco is still probably #2.

† Skelton and Max Hall below all these guys.

I think Tebow will be solid. I think Sanchez will eventually implode.

He hasn't yet? I'm looking forward to it getting worse than this.

1. Matt Ryan - Solid, consistent. Definitely elite and for the long term, IMHO. Whether he achieves "greatness" or not depends on the team around him from here on.

Guys I'm hopeful about (in no particular order):
* Bradford - Early signs are very good.
* Freeman - Still kinda raw, but early signs are good.
* McCoy - Very competent so far.
* Flynn - Very little to go on. Good reads, throws and management, solid backup guy already.

Guys I have my doubts about (in no particular order):
* Flacco - Inconsistency really bothers me.
* Stafford - Lotta talent. Don't think he'll stay healthy enough to be effective.
* Tebow - Some definite talent, but still just a "gimmick guy" for now.
* Sanchez - Good arm, but I don't think he'll ever have the self-confidence to be a consistently good NFL QB.
* Clausen - Just don't see him getting much better than he's shown so far, even though I loathe condemning guys this early on.
* Webb - Again, one game. Showed more pocket skills than I expected, but still feels like a Seneca Wallace ceiling for him.
* Henne - Too late for better personal coaching to turn things around for him? IDK.

Other guys positive/negative (just my feeling based on very limited views):

POS - probably at least a good quality backup, possibly more
* Josh Johnson
* McGee
* Hoyer

NEG - not much hope from me:
* Hanie
* Jordan Palmer
* Dennis Dixon
* Chase Daniel

Intentionally leaving out rookies Skelton, Pike, Hall, Smith as way too early to judge.

In this draft I would take a late round flyer on any of the following:

1.) Kaepernick of Nevada (run and pass threat although I hate the pistol offense)
2.) Kassum of Houston (a little short and injured most of the year but a very accurate passer)
3.) Stanzi of Iowa (25 plus TD's and 5 INT? sounds Brady like)

Ochmed very well be on to something with Stanzi. He's got the same body as Brady and the good decision-making brain. He's like another Matt Cassel, just with a good deal of experience.

Consider Stanzi Tom Brady's ugly (in his looks) little brother. But I don't know if his arm is strong enough. But the same thing was said of Brady coming out of another Big Ten school. Both guys are winners, that's for sure. Don't forget Iowa defeated a ranked Missouri team in its bowl. Stanzi's a winner if nothing else.
