Pats name former Patriot Ray Ventrone as Assistant Special Teams Coach

Is this the one who was constantly on and off our roster or was that Ross ?

Ray Ventrone played with New England (2006-2008), the New York Jets (2007), Cleveland Browns (2009-2012) & San Francisco 49ers (2013-2014).

I think that he was in and out too, but it was his brother, Ross, who was the true legend:

EDIT: Unfortunately the video seems to have disappeared, but it involved Ross in a tent with the slogan Occupy Gillette and his teammates asking "Ross who?"

Him and his brother were good special teamers and they both spent a fair amount of time with the team so it's well worth giving him a go.

A good guy to get into the pipeline. A good special teamer in his own day, and he gets to learn from the guy that learned from O'Brien.

Right now it seems like a good move.. fire in the belly.

Good stuff, like the move.

I wonder if he'll keep getting fired and rehired.

Congratulations, Ray Ventrone. It's good to have you back.

This is not good news for the rest of the AFC. Here's evidence that Spygate got started with Ray Ventrone:

Seriously.

Great not just to have a coach who's played the game, but one who made himself a career based on determination and professionalism rather than superior physical gifts.

Welcome home, Mr Ventrone!
