It would be so great to pick ahead of them?

We have the #2 pick. The 49ers and Rams schedules are identical except for matchups against the NFC North and NFC East. The Rams faced Green Bay and Dallas, the 49ers faced the Giants and Minnesota.

49ers remaining schedule:

Nov 25 @Arizona
Dec 2 @Carolina
Dec 9 Minnesota
Dec 15 Cincinnati
Dec 23 Tampa Bay
Dec 30 @Cleveland

They could beat MN and CIN, but I don't see them winning any of the other games. AZ is fighting for a playoff spot, Carolina on the road, TB and Cleveland are much better. 4 - 12 at best. I can't believe Minny and Cin won't be trying to salvage some vestige of pride from the season.

Whoa, the Jets have a tougher remaining schedule though:

Nov 22 @Dallas
Dec 2 @Miami
Dec 9 Cleveland
Dec 16 @New England
Dec 23 @Tennessee
Dec 30 Kansas City

Pretty sure it's at #3 right now, behind Oakland.

Speaking as an NFC South team fan, "@Carolina" is one of the few possible wins for San Fran. The Panthers have been much worse at home for whatever reason. I actually don't see them beating Cincinnati either, because the Niners have such a horribly sluggish offense that Cincy would find it hard pressed to lose.

The Jets aren't going anywhere in particular, that's one hell of a scary remaining schedule. Apart from Kansas City and Miami, the Jets are serving as appetizers for a bunch of playoff teams.
