Good riddance, master of hang time. Through the uprights is BAD on a punt, Chris

Belichick has tried to get kick him off the field for years but Hanson only goes 35 yards before coming back.

    Nice! :D

You think Hanson would be better at punting after kicking Patriots fans in the balls all these years.

Looks like BB is tired of settling for dead last in net punt average. Give us a young kid with a big leg like Scifres, please!

I'm free if he needs a ride to the airport next Friday... For someone who has always preached the field position game and the importance of situational football, his penchant for bottom of the barrel punters has always baffled me.

He dropped Baugher like a hot potato to sign Hanson, so clearly there was something about Hanson that BB actually liked. . . .

Rotoworld - Chris Hanson Not Expected Back

Is this guy Mesko anything good? I know he said the Pats special teams coach drilled him with questions. Is he worth taking a look at in the draft or should we go the FA route?

I heard Belichick was going to change his philosophy on punting like the high school team in Arkansas that never punts and goes for it on fourth down no matter what the situation. It works for them since they continueally compete for state championships. This would eliminate a lot of contoversy regarding Belichick's decisions on 4th down...4th and 2.

    No Jersey Selected

I've been out of the loop the last couple of days, but this is the best news I've heard all weekend.

Our Run & Shoot offense, without WW, will not be able to maintain the field position necessary to support the defense as presently constituted. Now more than ever, we need a Punter who can single-handedly reverse field position.
