Of these possibilities, some very long shots, rank them in order of the one you would support most to the one you would support least:

    Michelle Bachmann
    Hillary Clinton
    John Huntsman
    Ralph Nader
    Barack Obama
    Ron Paul
    Rick Perry
    Mitt Romney
    Rick Santorum
    No one

    #12 Jersey

Combo of policy, personality, likability and who I think has the ability to get things done (not necessarily in that order.) I know, it makes no sense:p

Regretfully, not enamored with any one candidate at this stage of the race..

I lean left, but no one is inspiring me at this stage....

Michelle Bachmann - 7 / no way (tie)
    Hillary Clinton - 3
John Huntsman -1? (tie-don't know enough yet)
    Ralph Nader - 6 / no way
    Barack Obama -1? (tie-see Huntsman)
    Ron Paul - 4 (tie)
Rick Perry - 7 / no way (tie)
    Mitt Romney - 4 (tie)
Rick Santorum -- the pretend-Christian hate-monger? to paraphrase Moses Malone, I could get a guy off the street who would make a better President than him

    -----

No one -- compelling, but in the spirit of this the suggestion I'd want to hear more from is Gary Johnson

Paul and romney are tied for me, which may seem odd given how different they are -- but those drastic differences make me hard to choose either of the other.

Bachman, Perry and nader all would be disasters for the nation. Nader at least doesn't pretend he's a Christian while hating millions of Americans.

What concerns me most about this list is clearly 1/3 would break down the separation of church and state, and would conceptually allow some type of theocracy... that scares the crap out me.

If Palin jumps in, the odds would increase even more...

    6 - Obama

    7 - Romney

    ;););)

In all seriousness Mrs. PF the best President we can have going forward is one who has the muscle to push forth a centrist agenda. We need budget cuts and tax increases across the board.

Now that could be Obama, I doubt it could be Romney but I definitely think Hillary could pull it off because she would not have the liberal left muscling her around like Obama does. She would be a one term President so once she's in she could just get to work IMO.

I truly think he would like to be a centrist, I just don't think he has the clout to do it so the left and right in Congress push and pull him all the time.

    heh google santorum heh

Barack Obama - started to show some spine. I know the politics, of course, just like I know the politics of all the times he gave away the farm. But at least he's starting from a position that makes it possible to get to a result we can live with.

Hillary Clinton - If Obama doesn't need the tsurris, glad to vote for her. Solid performance in her own right. If we're judging her husband's 8 years in office, by every measure except getting his sick ducked, he excelled.

Ralph Nader - I'm not throwing away my vote on this guy unless something happens like martians invade and he personally somehow defeats the head martian, and then the clouds open and God says in front of television cameras "I made this happen to show you you should vote for Ralph Nader." With that assist, he should be able to win an election if the Republican eats a live baby on camera.

John Huntsman - the thinking man's republican. Not an idiot, just wrong.

Ron Paul - an idiot, usually wrong, but now and then he's an idiot and right, because he has a special different way to decide these things (i.e., right on smoking pot, big deal. Wrong on the civil rights act. That sort of thing.) His election would depend on running against Nader. And he might lose.

Mitt Romney - An idiot and wrong. He's not the best republican candidate. He's not even the best Mormon candidate.

Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum - Bigger idiots, and wronger.
