There will come a time this season when Randy's sweet words are put to the test. Every year the Pats seem to face a critical moment when the season hangs in the balance and the only thing warding off disaster is unity in the face of adversity. On lesser squads, the weakminded crack, lose faith in eachother and undermine the organization from within. I hope when that defining moment comes this year, Randy remembers this interview, remains selfless and supports his mates under duress.
I suspect the offense will not be consistently explosive early on, but struggle at times in inexplicable ways. McDaniel will draw early fire as fans claim to identify his "clumsy" fingerprints on perceived failures. Tom may even take some heat, as his bombs fail to find the fleet Moss and call into question Brady's deep accuracy, the traditional hallmark of an elite QB. Losses in the first 2 games of the season are possibilities. How will Randy respond? We know how this team has responded in the past: with courage and unity. Will Randy embrace these ideas under fire?
