Raiders upset Chiefs; Pats in driver's seat

I keep reading that. Does anyone know what the Denver injury/practice reports say?
I'm betting Sanders will play. I think Thomas is a little longer term.

How much do you think that infuriates douche and squeaky and all the other "Pats are cheap" people?
They don't give a ****, they're too busy squealing like little girls over Chris Simms saying Brady isn't a top 5 QB anymore yesterday on the Douche and Squeaky Show.

The seas have indeed parted.

With KC losing it is getting harder to fathom us not getting a #1 seed.

We are:
1 game up on Broncos, plus tiebreaker
1.5 games up on the Bengals, plus tiebreaker
2 games up on the Colts, plus tiebreaker
2 games up on the Chiefs (but lost to them)
2 games up on the Dolphins (lost to them, play them again in Foxboro)
2 games up on the Chargers (play them at San Diego)
2 games up in the loss column on the Steelers, Browns, and Ravens (didn't play any of them)

Thus we can lose one and still be up, even if someone wins out.
We can likely even lose two and still be #1.

schedule:
home vs Detroit
@ Green Bay
@ San Diego
home vs Miami
@ New York Jets
home vs. Buffalo

It would take a significant upset, I think, because I don't see anyone else running the table

Interesting item: in their history, the Chiefs have played 0-10 teams 4 times. Their record in those games? 0-4.

There are also 13 more losses coming between these teams, with the following matchups:

Week 12
MIA-DEN

Week 13
DEN-KC
SD-BAL

Week 14
BAL-MIA
IND-CLE
PIT-CIN

Week 15
CLE-CIN
DEN-SD

Week 16
DEN-CIN
KC-PIT

Week 17
CLE-BAL
SD-KC
CIN-PIT

I would actually like to see the Broncos crush the Fins. We beat the Lions and the Fins lose we are 3 games up and that is a pretty insurmountable lead for the division.

IMO there are 2 must win games left, Miami and @SD. Then there are 2 we should win and it would suck if we lost them, Buffalo and @NYJ. Finally there are if we win them great and if we lose one who cares, Detriot, and @GB. Both of the last two are NFC teams and don't matter in seeding right now because we have a free game that we can lose without effecting anything. So AFC games against teams in the hunt, divison games, then NFC games is how I would rank importance.

I said if before that game if we beat the Broncos we would run the table and I'm still sticking with it

I was really surprised that Oakland won this game. I guess sooner or later it has to be!

As much as I agree that beating Peyton in the playoffs is the greatest feeling there is, I derive an equal amount of satisfaction adding an extra tick to his most important NFL records: Most playoff losses AND Most one-and-dones. :D

Agreed, hopefully for us to knock Peyton out of the playoffs it would have to be in the AFCCG, which would mean he won at least one, maybe two games prior to that. So his playoff win % would have gone up, and that is a bad thing IMO.

So if denver loses this week against the dolphins (and it is possible since denver is hurting) we essentially would have a 3game lead on the top 3 teams after us and a 2 game lead on kc (taking into account tie breakers)

What's with the stupid snide political potshots? Take them to the other forum, please, and throw all the mud you want to your hearts content THERE. Leave the football for here.

The funny part is I'm so lefty these days that Bernie Sanders called me a pinko liberal *** on twitter.

The Colts are a game behind Denver with two additional conference losses and a H2H loss. Even with an extremely favorable schedule, them getting a bye isn't very likely.

I expected Oakland to give KC a game, and even had a strange feeling that they might win just before KO, but man is that a frustrating team to root for. If the Raiders were even moderately well coached, they would have been up 24-0 going into the fourth quarter. Even in victory they are the Keystone Cops out there. Defenders running into each other in pass coverage... holds on their decent KO returns... somehow going from getting the ball back at midfield with nearly two minutes to work with before the half to first and 20 from the 30 and hoping like hell just to run the clock down without having to give the ball back... three separate penalties on a 4th down play!... KC several times being able to return a KO from 8 yards deep and no defender anywhere near him until the 35 yard line...

Even without the idiotic sack dancing while KC lines up for their 4th down play, the moronic magnitude was off the charts. How anyone thinks fist pump and shades is an NFL coach is beyond me.

It's not their fault. I put a 25 year curse on the Raiders in 2001.

Meh you guys are all dumb.

I want another showdown with Peyton - I want to be the ones who send him out of the playoffs like we used to do. Every year is one year closer to the end of what will likely be the rivalry that defines our NFL experiences for the rest of our lives. We'll all end up buying the special VR hologram deluxe digital set in 30 years and we'll think "THEY DON'T MAKE RIVALS LIKE PEYTON ANYMORE" as our heads float inanimate in the life-prolonging ooze created by Robot Obama's scientists of socialism.

I don't feel like Peyton's any more of a rival of the Pats than Roethlisberger, Eli, Flacco, Rodgers, Brees or even Rivers. Most of those QBs have beaten Manning in crunch time just like we have.

If the Pats can pull off a win at Lambeau, they could have a couple of games at the end of season where they can rest up guys who are banged up while seasoning their depth.
No way. This is never a good idea. Remember the 09 Colts?? 2011 Packers ring a bell?

I'm just talking about the guys who are banged up...

Both teams lost to the Super Bowl Champion. Both aren't led by the greatest QB/Coach duo in NFL history.

I think the Broncos suffer a losing streak and crash and burn. I am not afraid of Manning anymore.I want most to avoid going to Arrowhead and will root for the Chiefs to lose every week. I expect to win at lambeau.
This is our year guys!
