It must easy to think that some dolt in the Obama administration, oblivious to the implications of this decision, for no good reason dropped charges against these black panthers. I suppose that's possible, but my guess is there must be some reasoning behind that decision, and we don't know that reasoning yet.

Maybe the reasoning is that they are Black Panthers.

Maybe they would be prosecuted if they were White Panthers?

    Possible, but not likely.

(By the way, you're  a lot lately :))

This thread had me until I saw Washington Times.

Unfortunately, that was right at the beginning.

Typical perceived reverse racism crap, in a subtle attempt to de-emphasize centuries of white-on-brown racism, which dwarfs anything you can conjure up.

Anyhow, good idea no commenting Harry. You should continue with that strategy. Otherwise, your responses are about as predictable as the sun rising in the east.

Threathening people at the polls should be against the law, but of you are supporting the administration guess it is OK.

I cna only imagine the reaction if some Klan scum were threatening black voters with pipes and ax handles, the double standard alive and well.

There's something like 56,000 pages of federal regulations and all they could get was a civil charge? and then couldn't make it stick? Who knows? Civil usually means a fine at best as I understand it. Maybe they peeked at these guys' tax returns and figured they wouldn't be collecting even that small price.

Where's Illinois in this? They don't have a law against their behavior either?

The same bored looking cop has been on duty at my polling place every two years since forever.

The one nice thing about this is I expect that the polling place will go many years into the future before they don't have more than one cop stationed there to make sure this is never repeated. Still, its embarrassing at the very least.

You just know some KKK members are going to try this somewhere, and if/when they do, this will be revisited. If these were white supremists doing this, do you think the case would be closed? Better yet, should it be, if it were.
