"I have hope. He's a strong kid," Hill's Agent Albert Elias told WWL First News. He says people should not assume the worst and asks that they assist in the search for the 6 foot 6 inch, 300 pound athlete. "If we could get people out there to look for him... he can swim."

Cohen also reports that the water temperature is around 70 degrees. The lake is only 15 feet deep, but there are currents that could carry him across the 26 mile-wide lake.

search google for the lake. it doesnt seem very friendly at times.

must have been quite a crash to get thrown too far away from the jetski that he couldn't find it

His agent said he's actually a pretty strong swimmer, but Lake Pontchartrain can be rough at times.

last night (930) hill and a woman crashed on their jetski..the woman swam to a bridge pylon and was rescued...while they rescued her they saw hill but by time they got to where he was he was gone and has not been seen since. they were not wearing lifejackets

he cant swim and he didnt put on a life jacket ?thats insane to say the least .pray for a miracle .

According to the wwwltv.com website story:

"..... the woman was rescued and rushed to the hospital where she told them that Hill had tried to keep her calm even as the two were drifting away from each other."

The woman was rescued first while Marquise floated away.

Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. If it is the worst, then Marquise Hill went out as a hero in my eyes.

Agent says there is a history of people who have survived a day or two on the lake, also says Hill is a strong swimmer.
