We've had the Boston writers weigh in. We've read interesting opposing points of view with varying interpretations of the writers' columns. It's time for a new poll with your prognositcations regarding Mr Waters' 2012 fate

I say Waters sits out the year and does not accrue a season and then decides he still wants to play in 2013 but closer to home but is still under contract with the Pats and this occurs again.

I think that he shows up to accrue his year's seniority and some bucks, and helps out nicely.

YMMV, of course. :D

If he ever shows up, it's a bonus. I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'd take him for the 2nd half of the season in a heartbeat.......

who cares? we're all empty on the inside anyway

wont be back in uniform for the pats ever again

More Waters threads?

Time for the thread ignore option

I say he sits out until it becomes 100% clear that the Pats aren't going to trade him, then he retires.

It's a little odd he hasn't really made a move yet. He must know the Pats aren't going to move him by now. Maybe he is waiting to the last minute (week 10?) then will come back to accrue his year and try to play in Texas next year.

yes...the waters seem muddy indeed..yes...yes they do...

I saw a report today that the exact figure was somewhere around 4 million+ that Waters turned down.

It was on this site's homepage feed, but I can't remember if it was a Globe or Herald article.

And to think of all those who claimed that the front office was cheaping him out of town?!!

4 million for this year was a very, very fair deal IMO.

Seriously. He's got five kids at home. iPods, iPads, iTunes, iGotsYourMoney. There's $1 million/month on the table. Sooner or later, he'll show up.
