    Palin Says
Palin: ‘I hope that Dr. King would be so proud of us’

    August 28, 2010 4:29 P.M. By Robert Costa
Backstage at the Restoring Honor event in Washington, Sarah Palin talks to reporters about the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“I hope that Dr. King would be so proud of us, as his niece Dr. Alveda King is very proud as a participant in this rally,” Palin says. “This is sacred ground where we feel his spirit and can appreciate all of his efforts. He who so believed in equality and may we live up to his challenge.”

The damn traffic I had to deal with today because of this rally was awful. Took me and the wife 2 hours to get to Georgetown, where that cup cake bakery is. At least the cup cakes were good. :D

Of course, Dr. King called on the federal government to stand tall and fight against states rights, the basis of racism and discrimination in the south. The Tea Partiers are mostly those who are upset that the federal government is taking away their right to be bigots and imposing equal rights on even the most conservative states. Chances are Dr. King was turning in his grave when D-grade entertainers like Palin and Beck were speaking.

"Clydie Clyde" and his chimps... "I have a scheme"... goldline rocks( alll you old folks send your money), more face time for Beck, more money in his pocket...

If anyone does not see that, they are blind....

Beck is sellling right wing christian fundamental beliefs, most of which are revisionist versions, and a ton of folks are buying...

Extremism will have a long term serious effect on this country...

CULTURAL DECLINE IN AMERICA HELPS BECK / PALIN / TEA PARTY:

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hundreds of Massachusetts residents fed up with the political status quo and what they called the nation’s cultural decline joined a massive rally in the capital yesterday to send a warning to elected officials.

“They better understand that we are fed up with this and you are going to see it in November. Anyone with the word ‘incumbent’ beside their name - remove them, don’t vote for them,” said Trisha Gisleson, 63, a Cape Cod Realtor who organized a bus of 57 that left the Cape Friday night to join tens of thousands of ralliers on the National Mall. “What I’m talking about is taking back my country and saving my country. People are letting things go down the drain and you need to start standing up.”

Dr King's niece was warmly received by the people you smear as bigots when she spoke to the Tea Partiers yesterday, she felt her uncle would have been at the rally yesterday.

I'll take her word over yours Patters.

Actually the event was held by, and all proceeds went to a "Wounded Warriors" group that helps pay for the college tuition of KIA US Special Operations soldiers. Beck, nor Palin didn't make a dime.

You probably couldn't see that through your blind rage.

Or maybe you could, but you just couldn't give a flying ***** for those folks. It could be either.

It's unbelieveable how angry and panicy the left wing gets when something comes along that they don't agree with or something they see as a threat to their socialist, slobbering, phony do-gooding liberal bullsh!t.

No rage at all, good for what he did.. but bottom line he received beaucoup face time and that is the real issue here...

If you think religious extremism is good for this country, so be it.. but personally view it as very dangerous..

She was warmly received - however the rest of the family was over at the MLK march getting a warm reception of their own.

Why would you take her word about what she thinks her uncle would want over the word of his sons and daughters who would, presumably know what he'd want?

You are aware that she is estranged from the King family, aren't you, and that she's publicly said terrible things about MLK's widow, Coretta King?

    Nope, they sure weren't.

There were about a hundred thousand plus people (depending on whose figures you accept) who looked exactly like them standing there, too.
