The Chargers are not the only team to limit ticket sales to those living in their area. It's becoming a standard practice, partly so that ticket brokers don't gobble up tickets and sell them for a profit.
 
Old news. Now run along.

And it was pretty stupid of SD to do that. They ended up releasing a BUNCH of tickets on Saturday and prior to the ban a LOT of Pats fans had already bought tickets.

It was a feeble attempt by the SD management to get the 12th man.

I don't see anyone complaining? Why would anyone need tickets to Qualcomm? LMAO!!
 
He's right. College teams do this all the time...when they are afraid of the visiting team's fans over taking the home team's fans. BC has done this in hoops with Syracuse and UConn. It is great b/c fans always find a way.
 
Hey, that's great, and now all you So Cal fans can pile into Qualcomm Stadium next Sunday and watch the grass grow.

I guess this won't be an issue in SD for the AFC title game.
