Someone tried to get this going in the "Cuts" thread, but it's different enough to warrant its own thread, I think.

Right now I'm looking at
Green-Ellis
DeVree
Redd

though I don't think Redd will make it through waivers.

Spann is still eligible, right?

Yes, Spann is eligible.

Redd won't get picked up.

Green-Ellis showed some promise as a runner, just as Redd did at LB. I'd like to see Spann on the PS as well as Gutz. I hope they find some promising young OL guys to develop there as well-although I don't know who that would be.

I noticed that DE/OLB Stanley McClover was waived.
He is another high-potential OLB project.
Hopefully the Pats can retain Redd, but they should check in on McClover.

There are lots of young OL released. I would be surprised if the Patriots don't make a strong effort to bring in a couple guys they might have scouted but not ended up with in the draft. They have a decent record of promoting OL from the practice squad (Yates, Britt, etc.) -- and a history of paying above minimum for players they want to retain.
