I had to write this and make my own thread, but sorry i just had to. I know you are all proud as i am after last night , but let me share a story with you dear friends,,,you see i am one die hard Pats fan and i made a call to a very close friend in London who bets on games in the NFL. So i make the call and said,," buddy how would you like to make a lot of money ?? and when he asked how i said back the Patriots tonight . His first reply was,,," are you crazy ? i said no,,,i know my Pats,,i know when they are angry and come home to play,,and on Live and were underdogs ,,imagine underdogs at home !! I talked him into placing 5000 US Dollars ,,,not becoz he needed it but he believed in what i told him. He never watched it ,,but saw the score this morning and called to thank me. What i want to say really is ,,,I NEVER GAVE UP ON OUR TEAM.
In Bill we trust. Proud fan here just like i am sure you all are too. Just one quick question, why is Chung returning kick offs ??? Is he supposed to be fast ? Best wishes to all. GO PATS

I was wondering about Chung on kickoffs too. He can't be the best option out there, can he? I wonder if it's because so many teams kick it into the endzone nowadays that it isn't worth investing in a kick return specialist. We always seem to be lacking in that department, however.

Yeah, I don't like this whole Chung doing kickoff returns at all.

Just another reason why letting LaGarette Blount go instead of ponying up $2 million per year for 2 years was a TERRIBLE move by Belichick.

Your loyalty is admirable. As someone who picked the Pats to win in the Predict the Score Contest this week, though, I do have to ask whether the $5,000 was your money or his money?

I'm not a sports better myself. In fact, every time I make bets (even just between friends) I end up being wrong. I'm curious if you know how much money your friend made off this game. Betting 5,000 is a huge amount of money to me.

In any case, thanks for making this thread. It's nice to see someone else who has faith in his team. This board often is full of negative nancies, especially after a tough loss.

As usual the talk of doom was clearly premature. Always had faith the team would iron things out well enough to win the division [still do] but I definitely did not expect a win yesterday MUCH LESS a blowout win over the last undefeated team. Very proud of this team and excited for our potential this year.

Also Abdul belated Eid Mubarak to you I hope you had a wonderful weekend

I was extremely proud of them last night. They played with a fire in their belly that we haven't seen in a while. It really felt like a Rocky movie the last few weeks. The team doesn't look sharp the first few weeks and people calling them has been's. Gets beaten to pulp against KC, just like Rocky did against Mr T. Everyone's prediction for the game last night was "PAIN" and that Cincy would provide the knock out punch. The Pats respond early and often. Showing the Bengals and the world they aren't finished.

Let's hope the team can keep it up. We made great strides last night. We played with confidence. The line played well. When you see Brady running instead of throwing the ball away you know he is pumped up. If Wright can continue his good play from last night we may have a nice new weapon. Once Dobson gets back to speed hopefully he can make an impact. Gronk played like Gronk again and the running game was on, 'cause they emphasized it. One thing I was really happy with was Belichick playing to their strengths on D. Let Revis go man to man. He showed he's still one of the best corners in football.

Still a long way to go, but last night felt like an adrenaline shot. It also feels really good not to feel like a Jet fan does again this week. Losing sucks.

Thankyou for your Eid Greetings and yes i had a double joy celebrating Eid with my Family and friends. The win Sunday night was the icing on the cake ! What was so great about this game , was that everyone and i mean everyone,,locals like me , Americans who work in the Region i mean everyone wanted to see the Game as we were in the middle of our Eid Holidays so no work to go to on the Monday and it felt like a Playoffs game,,or a mini Super Bowl being the only Game Live !!!
KamikaseKnight to answer your question , my friend in London won the stake he bet,,i.e. 5000 Dollars. He needed the Pats to win more than ONE point !!! so it didn't matter how much more just the stake he bet. That should teach them a lesson to make the Patriots underdogs at home with Tommy playing QB.
These last 48 hours have been so enjoyable for me and my 2 sons ,,one who graduated from Northeastern Univ. in Boston. Best wishes to all. Salam from Bahrain.
