Can someone explain why these dorks wear "camo" blue pants? Why not wear dark blue like the rest of the costume?

Protesting is American as apple pie,or now adays driveing an Suv while eating an Apple pie. Its one of the things the country was founded on. I think if you don't protest something you feel isn't in the best interest of the country, you're actually being UN-American.

He's responsible. He could just un-cuff him, but he doesn't.......
He does look embarassed, but he's not getting busted for exercising his rights. I think you're giving sympathy to the wrong guy in the photo.

How do you know what the old guy was doing just before the cuffs went on? Perhaps he was part of a group that went limp to block traffic, maybe he was throwing eggs. I mean, NEM is an old guy, and I can see him out there throwing eggs and tomatoes and stuff.

    :D:D

I posted that because for the last 6 years the government and many posters here (you know who you are ) would have us believe if you protest anything this administration does its un-American,or worse Pro-terrorist. I don't remember any news organaztion standing up to Bush/Cheney and questioning what was going on because they were bullied. Bullied into beleiveing to question,or protest they would be portraied as be on the terrorist side.

Someone once said a picture is worth a thousand words. I didn't need an article for me to see this old man (with a little smirk) because he probably relized how ridiculous it looked for the cop (who was embarrassed ) to be leading him away in plastic cuffs. The Image of a 80+year old protesting something really brings home how deep the anti-war sentiment is. I doubt an article could have described it as well

I'm with a. paul on this one:eek:, it's hard to jump to the conclusion that this old man was arrested simply for protesting without something other than a photograph of him in cuffs.

My guess is he was doing some Code Pink style civil disobedient stuff and had planned on getting arrested to make a point, which is why he is smirking.

I agree, what ever it was he really does seemed tickled with himself. Maybe he had always wanted to be "Disobediant" and finally did it.

    .

The cop's just taking him out the cold so the geezer doesn't kill himself in the rain. Doing the smirker a favor.
