They stuck in there during the first half when the Chargers had great field position everytime and kept us in the game. They weren't great today, but they stuck with it and came out with the win. What an effort from everyone today on the defense, everyone played hard.

The defense were warriors, they completely kept they team in the game. Bend, bend, bend but don't break, what an effort. Bruschi played awesome, great team defense. No panick, give up 12 yards, no problem, keep battling move on to the next play. Very professional. Great job D.

I thought the D played very well considering the O, at least in the first half, could not sustain a drive whatsoever.

I found this stat to be great:

Seven times that the Chargers were on the 50 or in Patriots territory, San Diego scored no points.

    Wow!!

I definitely wouldn't call it a great defensive effort, it was mostly the chargers offense imploding. Chargers showed their nerves early and it lasted throughout the game, 7-9 dropped balls, Vincent Jackson not dragging his foot, offensive penalty's knocking the chargers out of field goal range, Phillip Rivers unaware of the oncomming blitz to get rid of the ball and instead taking a sack and staying outside of field goal range, dumb playcalling not kicking the fieldgoal on a 4-11 for a 45 yard attempt.
