You guys might think it's a joke but anything can happen. Did anybody think Ted Ginn Jr. would go #9 to Miami? My friends and I were laughing when they announced that pick. How about Justin Harrell to the Green Bay Packers? Who the hell is that? My point is, draft days are weird. However, If McFadden is still available at #7, it would be a perfect situation to trade out. Some team is going to want McFadden. But if there are no trading partners, don't be surprised to see McFadden in a Patriots uniform. I know I won't. If the Pats feel he is the best available, they will not hesitate to take him.
The only thing that bothers me about most mock drafts is Felix Jones going to the Cowboys. I can guarentee you the Cowboys will not take him. Just because he went to Arkansas, doesn't mean Jerry Jones is going to take him. Jerry Jones likes McFadden, not Felix Jones. In fact, Felix Jones will not be a first round pick. Everyone thought Jones was a speed burner yet McFadden made him look pedestrian at the combine. McFadden is a better prospect and will be a better player. Jones is overrated, not McFadden.
Im really starting to feel like Gholston will go to oakland. They lost Brayton in free agency, Burgess is on the last year of his contract and could be gone after this year. I wouldnt be surprised one bit if Oakland took him its a smart move if they do.
Justin Harrel was a very good player at Tennesse (graded at 90-92), and we talked about him on here a number of times. He had top 10-15 talent/potential, but some people thought he could fall after suffering that biceps tear during his senior season. He showed guts by trying to play through that injury at first, but ended up having to miss 10 games. So, you're "Who the hell was that?" remark doesn't make much sense to me.
That's why during the draft the "experts" where puzzled when Green Bay took him. Nobody has heard of the guy. I don't remember anybody on this board talking about him.
Yea, With his freakish combine and pro day numbers you've got to think Al Davis is very interested in Gholston, as he (Al Davis) likes football players with top measurables. So, I think it's either Gholston or McFadden at 4th, and either Gholston or McFadden at 6th.
If this mock plays out, the Pats wind up with McFadden or Long if the Jets go McFadden. I'll take it.
Go ask dryheat, BOR, or some of the other posters if we talked about Justin Harrell. We did, and a number of times, too. He was among the few D-linemen some of us liked, and thought could play in NE's 3-4.
With Harrell coming off that Biceps tear, NFLDraftCountdown's final rankings still had Harrell as the third DT behind Alan Branch and Amobi Okoye. They ranked him as the 28th prospect overall.

Wow. Really, Harrell was an unknown?
