This is very sad news regarding Elizabeth Edwards. I bet many (if not all) of us have been at the side of a loved one nearing the end. The following is an excerpt from ABC News:

"You all know that I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces – my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope," she wrote. "These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined."

"The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that. And, yes, there are certainly times when we aren't able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like. It's called being human," wrote Edwards.

"But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful."

Too bad. The woman has been through so much (bereaved parent, cancer ) that she deserved better than the fate she has suffered.....

If there was equality in this earth, John would develop a rabid form of untreatable testicular cancer, complete with hair loss.

A shame, I am not big on organized religion but I said a prayer for this women.

God Damn Her Dirty Filthy Rotten Husband the term "Piece Of Sh!t" was made for him, anybody and everybody that comes in contact with the conceited bastard should give him the silent treatment.

OTOH you deify Newt Gingrich and whatever he says becomes gospel:confused::confused::confused:

So I guess the rule is if the scumbag from the right is philandering whoremaster it is ok and whatever he says everyone drools over, but if the left does it is not ok...

They are all lower than whale shyt...

I agree, Gingrich is right up there with Pretty Boy Edwards, The Kennedy's and Billy Blue Dress when it comes to morality, but Gingrich says things Politically that I agree with as does Billy Blue Dress, but they are all scum when it comes to family values and family loyalty, they will all rot in hell together.

I just feel bad for her kids. Her douche bag estranged husband, not so much.

There's a very good article about her here:

    Elizabeth Edwards, Rest in Peace

And, just for the record, John has been there with her for the last several days. She and he knew that the children would need him and apparently they set aside their own differences for the sake of the kids....it speaks eloquently about her and her strength - and not so poorly about him, either.

I would hope so, even a person like Pretty Boy knows where he should be at a time like that.

She was a good decent women, to good for him.
