    "The New Jersey Herald reports that Jason Slater of Hopatcong, New Jersey was arrested on charges of creating false public alarms after calling 911 three times on June 10th and then refusing to give dispatchers any idea about why he was calling. Slater then called police headquarters and demanded to speak to Jets quarterback Tim Tebow while claiming to be the President of the United States.

    Police went to Slater’s house to make sure that there wasn’t any emergency and found him hiding under some pillows in his mother’s closet. Slater, who is 28, was arrested at that point.

    Slater greeted the officers with expletives and was taken to the police station for processing. Slater was then observed throwing his summons on the ground after leaving the station, earning him another summons for littering."

    All the qualifications of a Jet fan:

    Delusions of grandeur
    Lives at mom's house
    In the closet
    Speaks only in expletives

    There was an article on Patriots.com a few years back that described them accurately called "The Jersey Sure" if anyone else had the pleasure of reading it.

    Basically, when one their present "Heroes" doesnt pan out (Sanchez), they jump to next "Sure thing" (Tebow) in their minds. Throughout history this same pattern has played itself out over and over.

    Antonio Cromartie is 28.
    With all the kids he has surely at least one must be named Jason Slater.
    I think its him, and he gave the police the worng name.

    People in that family have a history of giving the wrong name or at least not remembering them. He should change their names to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 and on and on and on.

    ......Actually Cro-magnon might have trouble with that method too .

    It would be unfair to regard Mr. Slater as being representative of the many millions of jets fans who are without a doubt far more deranged, mentally incompetent and just plain weird.

    Numbering them will not help him tell them apart though. While he would be able to name them all, at least on a good day, he would have to tattoo their number on them to tell them apart. Of course he's on a pace of something like one every 5 months, so lining up shortest to tallest wouldn't help either.

    One of the only times I ever posted on a Jets forum, it was because Sanchez, during his rookie season, was being touted as "better than Brady, since Brady didn't even play as a rookie". I told them pretty much exactly what you're saying: that it was going to be tons of fun watching them gradually turn on Sanchez over the course of the next 3 or so years. It's been happening for a while now, and the tipping point is close.

    Oh, they were touting Pennington as better than Brady back in the day as well. At this point, they seem resigned on their forums to retorting that Brady is going to retire sooner rather than later and the Pats will collapse into mediocrity for decades to come while the Jets (always on the rise, mind you) will soon take over as the kings of the AFC East, which is rightfully due to them.
