Besides Silva would like to see:
Brian Bonner SS TCU. Look this kid up. Also great PR
Tommy Blake DE TCU. One of the best players in the nation in 2006. Dominates when healthy. Had some anxiety medical issues but has been cleared. Would have been a top twenty pick.
Derek Lokey DL Texas -Energizer Bunny
Matt Sherry TE Vilinova. Didn't we check him out?
Darnell Terrell CB 6'2" but a little raw
Wesley Woodyard Listed as OLB. 6'1'' 217 lbs. The best tackler in the Senior Bowl. Was a SS. Speed!!! Can be put back. There is your large SS who can tackle with speed.
Yverson Bernard. RB OSU 5' 9' 209 lbs. Moves piles and has speed.
Jeremy Geathers DE Nevada. Pass rush specialist OLB?
Steve Allen. SW Oklahoma. Wild man MLB.
Chase Ortiz DE TCU productive in college. Had decent rush.
D.J,. Wolfe has been mentioned.
LB from Central Michigan Red something but I forget his name.
I see some I prefer than who we drafted but there has to be reasons.
Silva is a no-brainer. He starts over Sanders right now.

NFL Draft Scout must be doing maintenance or they're getting too many hits from all the Chinese & Koreans who follow the NFL - anyway I started this working off their lists and they've gone down - this is as far as I got. P = Priority.
Linebacker - The biggest issue here seems to be speed, or lack thereof. Still, some of these kids can play and deserve a chance to knock one of the draftees off the roster.
P - Darrell Robertson DE 6-5, 265 Georgia Tech
P - J Leman LB 6-2, 245 Illinois
Gary Guyton LB 6-2, 245 Georgia Tech
Jameel McClain LB 6-1, 250 Syracuse
Curtis Johnson LB 6-3, 245 Clark Atlantic
Chase Ortiz DE 6-2, 250 TCU
Marc Magro LB 6-2, 240 West Virginia
Titus Brown DE 6-3, 250 Mississippi State
Eric Foster DT 6-1, 266 Rutgers
Safety - I frankly don't know Shane Simmons from Adam, but as long as one of our own goes to school with him I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Wesley Woodyard LB 6-0, 227 Kentucky
Jamie Silva DB 5-11, 205 Boston College
Shane Simmons LB 6-1, 225 Western Washington
O-Line - There is some talent left here.
P - Pedro Sosa OT 6-4, 300 Rutgers
P - Eric Young OG 6-4, 310 Tennessee (X)
P - Kerry Brown OG 6-5, 305 Appalachian State
Wide Receiver - A weak WR class, yet you can't help but think some of these kids have as much talent as some of their drafted brethren. Swan is the kind of kid I fall in love with each draft, and they wind up on the Bears Practice Squad. **sigh**
P - Darius Renaud WR 5-9, 202 West Virginia
P - Luke Swan WR 6-0 195 Wisconsin
Anthony Aldridge WR 5-9, 170 Houston
Todd Blythe WR 6-5 214 Iowa State
Danny Amendola WR 5-11 183 Texas Tech
D-Line - They will be hard pressed to make the Practice Squad, but the competition value is good.
P - Keilen Dykes DT 6-4, 295 West Virginia
P - Henry Smith DT 6-3, 310 Texas A&M
Running Back - Little engines that might.
Chad Simpson RB 5-9, 216 Morgan State
Calvin Dawson RB 5-9, 200 Louisiana-Monroe
Justin Beaver RB 5-8, 196 Wisconsin-Whitewater
Tight End - I'm shocked to see this draft class escape without a TE added.
P - Brad Listorti TE 6-3 251 Massachusetts
P - Mike Peterson TE/FB 6-2 247 Northwest Missouri State
Adam Bishop TE 6-5, 248 Nevada
Cornerback - Not so critical after the draft class.
Justin McKnney CB 5-9, 188 Kansas State
Some of this stuff is just so hard to figure out. My Binkie Wesley Woodyard, all he did was lead the SEC in tackles(Mayo was credited with a couple late so he came in 2 short playing 1 less game). He changed positions from a SS to a OLB and had over 100 tackles 3 straight years. Here is the first line of his bio:
If players were measured by their heart and desire instead of their body structure, Woodyard would be a giant among men. A fearless tackler with little regard for his own safety, he will probably switch to safety at the professional level. Even with the addition of 10 pounds of bulk after his final season, the Wildcat realizes his days as a linebacker might come to an end in 2008.
He had a 4.51 at the combine and had great workout noted by Faulk and alot of the talking heads. He had all the coaches falling all over him at the senior bowl including Singletary. He did everything right as a football player and yet he didnt get drafted.
Its not like he had an injury, a medical condition, or a drug problem. There is no lack of effort....I just feel so bad for the guy to try as hard as he did to make an impression to not get picked. To watch and wait all day....it has to SUCK. This is not RUDY or anything, he did it on the field. He had 20 tackles in a bowl game! You have guys like Ruud picked for his name, Slater picked for his name, Caleb picked so he wont have to go to Iraq and so many other one year wonders....its so sad.
BB is supposed to love overachievers. He takes on a guy like Crable who is an admitted multi year project. Rodney isnt getting any younger and this guy will make a team that he goes to. Come on BB, give the guy a call!
