Here's a touching story about how they roll under the Islamic regime.

Age of consent (under official law) is nine years of age in Iran. Nice.

BBC NEWS | Programmes | Execution of a teenage girl

I have read other reports about what the "religious police" do to girls in their custody. That regime just needs to go.

So what do you want to do, get involved in another trillion dollar war over saber rattling??

It is fine and dandy to post all of this stuff, but what is the answer???

You are aware that the darling of the right Reagan was negotiating with the Iranians in the summer before he was elected, and the hostages who were released immediatedly after his coronation.. that set a precedent that the US will deal with them, as a country we usually do not negotiate about hostages..

Many claim that those actions set us back many years..

No, I think we should let them develop nuclear weapons. That'll help.

Once again the rep of the party of no has no answers just continually bytching and hysteria about something he read on Drudge or other such nonsense... when you have a good answer let me know, until then you are dismissed as just another right wing hysteric with no answers except to start another war...

Right now our choices are bad or worse. You choose the latter while I favor the former.

I don't think war would be necessary if Bush and others had not diddled for so long.

What are your answers, smart guy?

    Open question for everyone:

Should Iran be allowed to develop nuclear weapons and if not, how not and if so how so?

Thanks for the compliment, you are not the first...

My answer is not go to war, as I have stated in the past give me that old time Mossad or CIA they were very efficient, cost effective and little collateral damage..

Going to war will provide huge unintended consequences, further destabilize the region, and then kill at lease another 100,000 innocents and destroy what we have left of our economy. Thank god that we are not led by a bunch of draft dodging neo-cons right now, all of which never saw war but had trigger fingers...

    The CIA?

    Please.

The CIA that was efficient and cost effective is gone. Heck, they are not even effective at this point, apart from cost.

And the delivery of a nuclear device to Israel or here would be casualty-free?

I am all for fostering the overthrow of the regime via insurgency and intelligence. The time to play that card was last year when the President supported the current bunch of thugs.

The time was in the 80's when Ronald Reagan caved in and negotiated secretly even before he was elected.. and the message he sent to Iran has resonated ever since... that we are a weak country, and we will fold.

If we go to war, this country will fall apart the inner psyche cannot handle another war, of course the neo cons love this shyt ... kill.. maim... kill... maim... great philosophy.

Actually, I think that Carter pre-empted Reagan on the "caving" front.

I wonder how the fragile inner psyche of the country will handle a nuclear attack?

If the Iranians get the bomb, they will use it.

You need a good history lesson, Carter was firm and did not negotiate.. Reagan in the summer before he was elected dealt with Iran.. which was probably an impeachable offense.. when the hostages were released right after his coronation, it made great theater..

Check your history.. it is amazing..

What history are you reading? Noam Chomsky's? That was an allegation, which Congress deemed to be unfounded.

The time to be firm with Iran was before we let the Ayatollah take power.

Very well known, why do you think they were released when Reagan was inaugarated???.. was Reagan an easier guy to deal with, that is not the picture he portrayed, he came across as a saber rattler.. in the June prior there were secret negotiations in Paris.. so the iranians never had to deal with Carter, they were dealing with Reagan's people..

Have never read anything by Noam Chomsky... and probably never will.
