That's pretty much what I'm thinking.
I thought Tennessee and/or Buffalo might give the Browns a run for their money for the wildcard spot, but after last weekend, I don't think the Bills are going anywhere, and the Titans only have a hair more offense than the Ravens.

lol - I already posted this in the 'future' post, but that's fine.

I had the same teams. at this point. I think it's becoming pretty clear.

I think the broncos are the only team I see with a real chance to sneak in there. they's have to totally outplay the chargers the rest of the way though.

I still think the afc is gonna totally come down to pats-colts.

god, I think we're gonna start to get sick to death of each other if this keeps up !

I agree with most of you guys. How ever I do think its going to be a battle between the Colts & Steelers for the 2nd seed.If Pittsburgh loses 1 more game (which they probably will) then the Colts should get it.

In November?

Looking at the schedules, I think the AFC playoff seedings are already set.

1. Patriots
2. Colts
3. Steelers
4. Chargers
5. Jaguars
6. Browns

I see the Steelers manhandling the Browns and the Jags holding off San Diego. We throttle Jacksonville by 30 in the disional playoffs setting up the inevetable matchup with Indy.

i see JAX as being a better competitor to the pats then the colts will be...this time ppl will once again scream of running up the score when the pats play the colts in the AFCCG

I am down on the Steelers because they have a harder remaining schedule than Cleveland. Also, Big Ben is the #2 most sacked QB in the league this year. If you go to NFL.COM and sort the QBs by # of times sacked he is in some pretty bad company. I don't know how he is going to be healthy for the play offs. I think the Jets sacked him 7 times in their game with the Steelers.

I think the Browns could make the AFC Championship game, with their offense. Hey, if the Colts could do it for so many years, why not the Browns?

If the Browns are for real, they should cruise in their last 5 games.

CLE @ ARI
CLE @ NYJ
BUF @ CLE

If they could finish off the season 5-0 (Which, really isn't that much of a stretch looking at the teams above) and the Steelers were to lose 2 or more games, they'd have the AFC North.

With the Steelers remaining schedule, I'm sure they will have two losses at least. (Pats, Jags) As well as another "We just got beat by a bad team" loss.

can the steelers/browns play in the wild card rd ?

If the Steelers have the three seed and the Browns have the sixth. Or if the Steelers have the fourth seed and the Browns have the fifth (unlikely). It's not like MLB, division opponents can meet in the first round of the playoffs (see Pats/Jets last year), if that's what your question is alluding to.

The Colts play the Jags, Ravens, Texans, Titans, and Oakland to finish the season. The Jags play the Colts, Carolina, Steelers, Oakland, and the Texans. I'm not so sure I think the Colts are going to win the division. I think the Jags are going to beat the Colts this weekend, and they have a very real chance to run the table (they could easily take down the Steelers in a couple weeks). If that were to happen the Colts would fall to 9-3 (hold the division lead because of division record). The way the Colts are presently constructed I think they're going to struggle against another team (namely the Titans or Texans). So here it goes, the Colts are going to be a Wild Card team this year.

Patriots
Jaguars
Steelers
Chargers
Colts
Browns

I'd be really happy with this.

This is perfect. The Steelers and Colts need to fight it out for the priviledge of coming to NE because the Jags and Chargers aren't threats.

If I pick MY playoff seedings, then I will always be right, because they are MINE. Do you mean "Predict THE playoff seedings?"

OK, I'm nitpicking, I knew what you meant. :D

1. Pats
2. Indy
3. Pitt
4. SanD
5. Jax
6. Clev

Pitt d Clev
Jax d SanD

Pats d Jax

I honestly believe the Jags are the second best team in the AFC right now. Let's not forget one of their losses came when Quinn Gray was a starter and this team is much better with Garrard, who is a very good qb.

(Doing my best BB Impression)..They are good in all 3 phases of the game, offense, defense, special teams. They are physical on both sides of the ball, have one of the best return mans in Jones-Drew and they don't make many mistakes. They protect the ball well and create turnovers.

That being said, I think the Jags beat the Colts this week, but after that I see both teams running the table, meaning the Colts will take the number 2 seed. I think the most likely upset is the Texans beating the Colts. I don't think any team will upset the Jags.

I'm going to really put some thought into this. LOL

Here is how I predict each week will turn out among the AFC playoff hopefuls (Bills, Broncos, Browns, Chargers, Chiefs, Colts, Jaguars, Patriots, Steelers, Texans, and Titans) and therefor how the seeding will go. Underlining the winners:

Week 13

Chargers @ Chiefs
Jaguars @ Colts
Texans @ Titans
Bills @ Redskins
Browns @ Cardinals
Broncos @ Raiders
Bengals @ Steelers
Patriots @ Ravens

Week 14

Chargers @ Titans
Buccaneers @ Texans
Panthers @ Jaguars
Dolphins @ Bills
Steelers @ Patriots
Browns @ Jets
Chiefs @ Broncos
Colts @ Ravens

Week 15

Broncos @ Texans
Titans @ Chiefs
Jaguars @ Steelers
Bills @ Browns
Jets @ Patriots
Colts @ Raiders
Lions @ Chargers

Week 16

Steelers @ Rams
Giants @ Bills
Texans @ Colts
Browns @ Bengals
Dolphins @ Patriots
Raiders @ Jaguars
Chiefs @ Lions
Jets @ Titans
Broncos @ Chargers

Week 17

Patriots @ Giants
Titans @ Colts
Bills @ Eagles
Jaguars @ Texans
49ers @ Browns
Steelers @ Ravens
Chargers @ Raiders
Vikings @ Broncos
Chiefs @ Jets

That would leave us with these standings for these 11 teams:

  1. New England Patriots (16-0)
    [*]Indianapolis Colts (13-3)
    [*]Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5)
    [*]San Diego Chargers (10-6)
    [*]Jacksonville Jaguars (12-4)
    [*]Cleveland Browns (11-5)
  2. Denver Broncos (9-7)
  3. Buffalo Bills (8-8)
  4. Kansas City Chiefs (7-9)
  5. Tennessee Titans (7-9)
  6. Houston Texans (6-10)
