Predict the Score Contest, Week 2 Results

Remember the Clint Eastwood movie "The Dead Pool"? A contest to predict who will die next turned sinister when someone started influencing the results by killing people. That's what I think we're dealing with in this here contest.

No, not killing people, I am talking about the rumored existence of a Stephen Gostkowski Voodoo Doll. How else could you explain the missed field goal which cruelly dashed the predict-the-score-contest hopes of the four players who predicted a 27-17 result? I know advanced Voodoo technology works, it was only three weeks ago I threw my Adam Vinatieri doll against the wall and the next day Adam's mother is telling the papers all about his foot. (Hey, anyone want to loan me a lot of money? Getting the Adam V doll officially NFL licensed is extremely expensive, but I think it could be a big seller).

Anyway, there are two main suspects for last week's debacle: BigT815 and PatsDeb. Both predicted 24-17 and when Brady took a knee they had perfect winning scores!

Unfortunately, I don't know which one is responsible, and have no actual proof of anything. So I suppose I must grudgingly say, Congratulations BigT815 and PatsDeb, you beat 117 other players this week!

33 people scored 4 or less for the week --- unprecedented? Competition in this league is too tough! Still, moving 44th to 17th is heading in the right direction....

Last year only about 22 of us made it through the whole year. I hoped for Alamo's sake that this season's numbers would quickly drop down in the 50s or so, but maybe it won't happen that way this year. Thanks for putting in the hours, Alamo!

I was the big mover this week went from 64th to 23rd.....with my tie for 1st this week. Nice while it lasted I expect to be back to my proper place in the list this week. Going for an overall "rollercoster" effect like my picks .
