re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Jeez, i just had this thought....can Crable pass the physical?
Can you imagine the reaction if he fails it?

re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

I hope Jenkins is signed today.

THe Crable binkie is back too much.

Dan Klecko is available too.

re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Interesting move on Crable if true, I thought his early release this year must have had to do with either health or attitude problems. He might be the running joke on this board but you're not going to find anyone else with a better set of pass rushing skills than what he showed in college availiable now. Of course, to prove that he would actually have to get on the field, which he hasn't shown the ability to do.

re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Jenkins back with the Pats PS.

I find this very surprising considering the Rams situation.

re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Jenkins is back.

re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

WR Darnell Jenkins has cleared waivers and will return to Patriots practice squad.

According to Reiss

I suspect Crable might be the long lost love child of BB. He will always be where ever BB is.

re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Did Crable get injured on the car ride in?

Patspsycho is right - BB said Crable was not well on july 29th, what changed in 5 weeks? They probably knew Crable would just sit on the sidelines all camp and that no-one else was going to add him. So cut him and give him 5 more weeks to heal and add him to the PS.

re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Jenkins is back.

Excellent. I was thinking that the Raiders would probably scoop him up. Guy is LIGHTNING quick. If he can learn to run routes, he just might become a football player.

Re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

THAT is interesting.
Why did they not let him attend camp if they felt good enough about him to put him on the ps?
Didnt BB say he wasnt ready to go yet and they would think about bringing him back if he 'became ready'?
Dont know what to make of this.
BB is a stern daddy.

Re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Jenkins is 27 years old, undrafted in 2008, on his fourth team, no regular season stats and everyone is glad to see him back presumably based on his potential and speed.

Crable is 25 years old, 3rd round pick in 2008, on his original team, no regular season stats and has potential and speed for his position and most view him as a lost cause.

I know this is probably at hand. What can these guys expect to earn on PS?

Re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

Maybe Crable Needed a dose of reality. In Patriot Reign, they said about Patrick Pass, "cut him loose and see how he reacts".

Pass actually performed pretty well after that. Maybe Crable needed this.

I believe it is about 2k a week, but the team sometimes pays a player more, on occasion the same as if they were on the 53.

The minimum is $5,200 per week.

The Pats are well known, though, for paying "key" PS players significantly more than that; by the end of last season they were paying Wendell and Richard as if they were on the 53-man roster.

Re: PRACTICE SQUAD: Ohrnberger, Brown, Crable, Jenkins

So in the eyes of Patriot fans, does Shawn Crable suddenly transform from the poster child for underachievement, to that of favorite binkie, underdog hero that everyone roots for?

I guess this is stating the obvious, but I sure didn't see that coming.

Glad to see Brown signed, he was my first choice to be added to the PS. If needed he can contribute right away to special teams, and he adds a little insurance to the safety position with McGowan going on IR.
