Week 11

CBS Sportsline
Pats: #6 (Last Week: 10)
As Matt Cassel grows, they will only get better. They have two huge games in the next two weeks against the Jets at home and at Miami. Win them, and they will win the division.

FOX Sports
Pats: #7 (Last Week: 10)
Maybe it's time to rename the Coach of the Year trophy the "Bill Belichick award" because this is getting silly. Last week the Patriots lost another Pro Bowl player (LB Adalius Thomas, broken arm) for the season, but still cruised against the Bills.

ESPN
Pats: #7 (Last Week: 12)
The Patriots keep marching forward. Matt Cassel has established himself as more than a proxy for Tom Brady. He's a legit NFL starter.

Pro Football Weekly
Pats: #7 (Last Week: 9)
Belichick made up for Indy with well-coached Bills win.

USA Today
Pats: # 17 (Last Week: N/A)
No comment posted.

Vic Carucci (NFL.com)
Pats: #12 (Last Week: N/A)
Ho-hum, another win over Buffalo. But the Jets present a much larger challenge.

Walter Football
Pats: #13 (Last Week: 17)
No comment posted.

Yahoo
Pats: #15 (Last Week: 20)
Will Adalius Thomas’ absence be alarming, or will Bill Belichick just figure out a way to coach around it?

Vic Carucci must really have a hard-on for Belichick and this franchise...

Not that I read too much into Power Rankings, but I don't get Vic Carrucci at all. It was just two weeks ago Carrucci had the Bills as a lock to win the AFC East and 7th in his power rankings, last week he wrote an article about how the Jets being able to beat the Bills made them almost the front runner to win the division, and this week the Pats beating the Bills was a Ho-Hum win. I guess I don't know if it is a huge drop in respect in the Bills or just a slap at the Pats. I know his weekly visit on WEEI he has been saying since Brady went down that he felt the Pats couldn't win the division and probably wouldn't get a Wild Card.

Week 11 (Continued)

Cold, Hard, Football Facts
Pats: #6 (Last Week: 9)
The Patriots bounced back from their tough loss to the Colts by limiting the Bills to 168 total yards in a 20-10 home win. Wide receiver Wes Welker became the first player in NFL history to catch six or more passes in the first nine games of a season. His 10 catches for 107 yards against Buffalo were both season highs. First place in the AFC East will be on the line as the Patriots, who have allowed just 51 points in their last four games, face a Jets team that put up 47 last week and averages 28.3 PPG, third in the league.

Covers
Pats: #11 (Last Week: 16)
The Pats held the Bills to only 168 total yards. Still having trouble running the football.

If that game were up to Favre it would have been 7-3. Pats stuff the run and leave it up to Favre in the bad weather and this game is ours.

Next week, #5 baby!
