Watching my local weather here and there is potential for this humongous Northeaster to cause up to 1 foot of snow here in the Eastern half of PA.

They are saying this storm which is expected to arrive early sunday morning has the potential to throw 1 or up to 2 feet of snow in some sections of New England coastal areas (Foxboro pretty close to that) if the storm stays on track and will also be accompanied by a stiff wind of around 20MPH along with sleet mixing in during parts of the day.

So it looks as if prognostications of 70-7 or even 45-0 is not going to happen with a fierce storm and apparently will be more of a low scoring ground game unless somehow the offense can muster alot thru the weather or if the storm heads farther out than anticipated.

I still see a 30-3 pounding but I was hoping for better weather and a real dominating score in the 50s - Unlikely unless things change weatherwise.

Despite whatever the weather is,the Jets won't score more than 7 - Snow or no snow

My understanding is that the snow will probably be over by game time but it still might be windy. Foxboro is usually not considered 'coastal' but thats semantics (its ~20-30 miles from the coast I'd say).

I'll be there snow or not. I'd prefer Brady Moss and the Patriots to break the TD record while winning 77-0. If not I'll take a classic snow game where the Patriots win.

I love snow games - It shows just how pansy those overprised baseball players are when they halt or delay a game with a little downpour

When a rainslick 95 fastball is flying by your nose, you might take that one back.

We are flying up Saturday morning and flying back to Tampa Monday morning so we can go to the game. We are flying into Providence and staying in Boston so we have some driving to do as well.

Anyone have a local link where they are mentioning this nor'easter possibility? All I get on weather.com is "Wintry Mix" for Sunday?

It would be good to see how our Offense reacts to it before the Playoffs.

The real problem is the parking lots... a foot of snow takes a lot of space.

This is a case where a later start time would have been better... ironically this is the earliest in a long time. My prediction: on Saturday they will announce the game is moved back to Sunday 4:15PM. Or maybe even to Monday night (doubtful).

That all depends on the weather staying true to the forecast. There is an earlier Thursday night storm expected to dump 4 inches on Foxboro, first.

http://wbztv.com/ top story right now is "More Snow & Ice For Thursday, Weekend".

Foxboro isn't normally considered "central", it's a bit south of that. So may well be less snow there.

Put me in the column that says I hate this. I really don't care about this "win by 60" stuff, as fun as that might be. I want the win. And truly horrendous conditions are unquestionably a wildcard.

Is it possible that they can move the game to Sun 4:15?

I don't really care about the cold or snow but high wind scares the crap out of me - it can easily even out the teams. Stay away, wind.

Weathermen are like NFL ref's, they always get it wrong until they see the instant replay. Then they finally get it right.

So look for rain and blue skies by game time!

Normally I'd love that, except now I'll be plowing snow in the early morning hours before I can leave. Hopefully it won't snow much more after I leave. Freaking figures. >:^(

No real biggie, I'll just be a little more worn down at the end of the day much to the wife's chagrin.

Foxboro is right at Rt 95, and is on the edge of the normal 'snowband' line:

    From Accuweather.com:

    http://www.accuweather.com/news-top-headline.asp?partner=wbz&traveler=0

The Winter Weather Center is keeping a close eye on Friday's storm since it has the potential to not only spread snow across the Ohio Valley, but to become a major winter storm across the Northeast on Saturday night into Sunday.

Residents across the Northeast are urged to closely monitor the development of this storm since it could bring burying snow and howling winds. The current forecast calls for the heaviest snow west of Interstate 95 since warmer air may allow a changeover to rain to occur around and east of the major interstate.

Senior Meteorologist Henry Margusity will continue to post updates, including to his snowfall map, on the potential late-weekend Nor'easter in the Northeast. Margusity will also be watching the threat for severe weather from the storm

I doubt it. A few years back when they played Miami in that snow game (snowballs in the air after Bruschi's interception return) there had to be close to 18 inches of snow in Foxboro (well at least that's how much I had at my house and I only live about 8 miles away) and they didn't move the game back. I know some of the parking lots took awhile to clear out, and the traffic was a nightmare. That was also the game that when we went into the stadium they said, don't bother going up to the 300's (where are seats are), no one will show up. So we sat in the 200's and by the 3rd quarter we had to keep moving as everyone finally got to the game. So I'm thinking the game will go on pretty much no matter what....I'm thinking of leaving the house at 8:00 :)

This looks like a train game for me. The parking lots are the unknown factor. I last took the train for the blizzard Miami game .It was the right call since I know a buddy who got within a mile of the stadium and the traffic just didn't move. He eventually turned around and went home. No tailgating but better than sitting in traffic because of snow covered lots.
