Listing Pass and Mills as our two FBs is a bit deceptive-- we tend to play TE sets, and when we run the power I, it's typically with a 300#er at FB, not an actual FB. We haven't played a true FB in our offense since we lost Mark Edwards. I think it's unlikely that Mills will induce us to do so, now.

More likely, Mills is our 4th TE, our 5th RB... but he's probably our #2 STs ace, and Matt Chatham's immediate replacement in coverage. The fact that he has incredible hands and positional flexibility on O is a nice bonus, but it'll be a bit of a shock to see them drawing up plays and formations to take advantage of him as a rookie.

I think you're underestimating Stevenson. Hard to know, but he has prototypical size for a Belichick lineman, and Mruczkowski was on the shadow roster last year... and may be headed there again if the kid is any good.

And Mincey should win a roster spot ahead of Don Davis, as a pure ST player with positional depth at OLB, in the same way that TBC made the roster as a rookie. Davis provides depth as SS, but we have a house full of safeties right now... and he's about 100 years old.

I dont know if we can carry Warfield and Scott. Generally, #4 and #5 CBs need to play ST to make the roster, and neither one is likely to do so. Unless they win starting CB duty, we could carry one of them, maybe, but not two.

BTW, you dont have a long snapper on the roster.

Only we never did. Ten years ago we signed an UDFA from South Dakota though, but only after he kicked successfully for a year in NFLE.

Zing!! :D :D Way to go Mo!!

We really use LOL and ROTFLMAO ... much too lightly.
How can i explain now?

I've never heard myself make the guttural, spluttering, half-suppressed sounds
that i just did as i read this!

Just trying to clear my throat afterwards ... brought on a short coughing fit.

ps - and, upon previewing ... i am incurring aftershocks of mirth.
