Another post in the ever growing discussion about who to get to replace Givens. To me it seems obvious that the Pats are not interested in getting any high profile WR's. Simply due to the fact that Brady and the Pats offensive systems prefers to spread the ball around rather then focusing on 1 or 2 main players, After looking at the remaining WR's available in FA, I am not as worried about our options to pick up someone to replace Givens. Here is what Givens has done in his career to date and some possible replacements and their career stats: (my appologies if any of these guys are already inked to a team)

YRS G REC YARDS AVE TD
Givens: 4 53 158 2214 14.0 12

Jabar Gaffney: 4 64 171 2009 11.7 7
Peter Warrick: 6 79 279 2991 10.9 18
Josh Reed: 4 60 143 1699 11.9 6
Peerless Price: 7 103 347 4811 13.9 28
Rod Gardner: 5 76 240 3148 13.1 23
Quincy Morgan: 5 79 164 2466 15.0 17
Az-ZaHir Hakim: 8 104 299 4044 13.5 28
Dez White: 6 82 187 2149 11.5 11

I think any of these guys could come in to the Pats and be productive. And with Givens getting paid about 5 mil a year, you could probably add 2 of these guys for that price.
