Said before and will reiterate the same, not all that sure he is concerned with polls at this juncture.. right now using up tons of political capitol.. suspect that next year he will change his tactics and the economy will be better.. just in time for the midterms... if the polls are poor at that time, then the dems will have a cause for concern..

One thing that is obvious is he is working at breakneck speed... his daily schedule is packed, and has not taken a lot of time away from the job..

I am not sure if Obama is the right man for the job in this time of economic crisis.

He is able to get to where he is now not through merits, but through Affirmative Action.

He is just like George Bush, an ordinary man who got preferential treatments all his life.

I thought America elected the wrong people in the last 3 elections and is now paying the price of those elections.

George Bush and Barack Obama are similar.

They are both Ivy League graduates with an "*".

Bush got into Yale and Harvard through Parental Legacy.

Obama got into Columbia and Harvard through Affirmative Action.

Their Ivy League diplomas got them to where they are today.

    And that is the problem.

Their fancy diplomas gave them a false impression of intelligence and wisdom.

The reality is that George Bush and Barack Obama are ordinary men.

They make short-sighted and bone-headed decisions that will cost this country dearly.

Considering the man became president it looks like you are saying affirmative action worked.

If you consider affirmative action "working" by having incompetent boobs in jobs several levels above their level of competence then, sure, it worked.

Even the most partisan person can't seriously lob an incompetency attack on the president.

Incompetent as a functioning individual ? No. Incompetent as a President ? Absolutely. So was his predecessor before someone lobs the "BUSH" bomb back at me.

I think he's incompetent regardless of philosophy. He can't make a succinct point and he's a liar. Flat out. If incompetent was too strong, extremely ineffectual will suffice.

As much as I despise the politics of Bush, Reagan, and Nixon, they were all effectual (Bush and Reagan probably via proxy). Clinton was as well (to a lesser extent if you are a progressive). Considering that Obama stated he wanted to pass the stimulus and he did, he's getting closer to passing health care reform, and that he even got elected, it doesn't make sense to label him either ineffectual or incompetent.

I guess it's all relative to expectations. Given the makeup of Congress, getting things passed is a no brainer. It's a done deal; and, yet, he still can't explain what the health care plan is. Or how it will save money. He's ineffectual the way I define it.

If his health care plan ends up increasing the cost of health care to America -- which the Massachusetts health care plan has done to Massachusetts -- while lowering the quality of health care, which socialized health has certainly done in Canada, the UK, and virtually every other nation in the world where it is used, then a HUGE "incompetency" sign around his neck is going to be Obama's legacy. For sure.
