Poll: Most don't know who speaks for GOP - USATODAY.com

A 52% majority of those surveyed couldn't come up with a name when asked to specify "the main person" who speaks for Republicans today. Of those who could, the top response was radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh (13%), followed in order by former vice president Dick Cheney, Arizona Sen. John McCain and former House speaker Newt Gingrich. Former president George W. Bush ranked fifth, at 3%.

4 of the 5 are no longer elected representatives.

They're out of power and someone will emerge. This means less than nothing. The process will take care of itself. By 2012 someone will speak for the Republicans, it could be Gindal or Pawlenty or Romney or Gingrich or someone else. I know one thing, all of those mentioned will speak better than Bush and McCain did.

I agree on your last point for sure...

I'm really hoping for Ron Paul...but, the way the party is going....I'd put my money on Romney.

    But I'm wishing for Palin
