Surprised about WWF, too. I guess political affiliation has nothing to do with gullibility...or maybe it does!

College football makes sense. There isn't much interest in it in the northeast, which leans mostly liberal. We were in Florida a while ago and some local was crapping on BC football when he heard my accent and found out I was from Mass. I asked him what the hell he was talking about. He said, "Awwww, you know! The Baaaawston College Ayeguls". I shot back, "We don't follow college football after we get out of college up there. We have a professional team!" Guy got up and walked away and his buddy bought me a beer.

Well the last time I saw it, it had bunch of people that would fit in a NASCAR race.

Yes NCAA football makes lot of sense with the best teams mostly playing in red states.

From the accompanying article.. does this sound a tad biased??

This is an offshoot from National Review..

    http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com/archives/2010/03/sports_viewers.php

There are statistics and damned lies... you can manipulate any data for a specific outcome... some of the stuff is right on, but bet as many from the left like the PGA and NFL as do the left...

Interesting chart with a lot of surprises. Those sports that skew Democratic tend to skew that way more strongly than those that skew Republican. WWE and the Olympics are two other surprises. Golf is no surprise, considering that it tends to be an activity for older and wealthier people. Very cool chart. Thanks for posting the link.

Most of the WWE viewers I know are also avowed communists... funny how that works... never thought it trended outside of them though.

I like to ask this question to anyone... why are most athletes vote Republican? It can't be because they are rich since most Hollywood people vote Democrat.

They probably don't read as much fiction. Hollywood people must be reasonably well read, and most literature deals with the struggles of average people. Knowledge of those struggles I think makes one more sympathetic to those in need.

Very true. Also religion is one reason why most athletes are Republican besides the taxes.
