The way I see it, they won't fix problems that they refuse to identify, so on the field, at least, this works out well for everyone else.

Wasn't that pic6 the intended receiver's fault? At least that's the excuse I've heard.

Depends who you talk to, there seems to be lots of excuses and people thrown under the bus since that game.

Yup.... there's a lot of blood on those tires, and none of it is Manning's.

Idea for a Michael Silver column - "No deal for Manning as he is being traded for disgruntled Patriot's QB Tom Brady"

Yes, as I recall it was said that Reggie Wayne "misread Peyton's signal" and wasn't where he was supposed to be, so poor Peytie got picked through no fault of his own.

ETA: Although the Wayne Blame didn't seem to stick like the OL blaming, and the recent running game blame, and now the OL again...so maybe Wayne had the balls to stand up and say to Polian "Don't you put that s@#t on me!". I sure hope so, that would be awesome if he did!!!

I always thought it was just a great play by Porter.

Gregg Williams called out for Porter to remember something he'd seen on film.

Porter jumped the route and took it to the house.

Polian. What a tool. Even great QBs make mistakes.

Gawd do we underappreciate Brady, who also sucks on (infrequent) occasion.

Considering where they were picked the colts O-line easily can be labeled over achievers.

Polian is an idiot to throw them under the bus.

    No Jersey Selected

YouTube - Tracy Porter Game Winning Interception vs. Colts in Super Bowl 44

It was PRETTY CLEARLY Manning's fault. Not only did he stare down his receiver, but it was just an awful throw. If he saw Porter breaking on the ball (which I don't see how he couldn't have) then that ball should have been thrown to the outside shoulder. Instead, it was thrown to the inside and Porter was gone. But yeah, let's hammer the offensive line, Polian... you douche.

My comment should be at the top of the comment list.

I read a report that Jeff Saturday was injured in TC. I don't know how bad it is. If that is true and he's out long into the season, then the OL will be thrown under one of the triple decker buses.

Anyone who knows an iota of football knows Manning made the mistake here. Most QB's would take the conservative route and throw to the underside of the stack, not the top. You can see Gonzalez who was the under on that stack is open.

Supposedly he had arthroscopic surgery to clean up a little chip. Was initially supposed to be a two week kind of thing. Irsay said today he may be out 6 weeks. Saturday is a smart cookie, he may be out longer... Also, for all the grief he piled onto them Polian didn't do a damn thing personnel wise to improve the OL. Saturday ain't getting any younger, they were planning to re-work the bust LT in at LG until the UDFA LT who took his job away last year went down along with the former bust RT from two years ago who was getting another chance to win a job getting hurt...and then of course they put the drunk backup on NFI while he gets treatment for his alcoholism... And on top of all that Mudd is finally, officially retired.

That Polian has the balls to complain about that unit considering what he's done with it the last three years is comical.

there is no way a lineman is back after just 6 weeks, even for a "minor" procedure on his knee. Considering their weight, and what their job entails, it's just amazing that so many last as long as they do without multiple knee procedures.
