Despite Plame's penchant for parking at CIA headquarters, newly released documents of her work history were released and presented by Patrick Fitzgerald to the courts supporting his recommendations for 2.5-3 years prison sentence for Libby.

I think all anyone had to do in this case was look at the fact that the CIA asked the justice department to investigate this to understand that Plame was covert.

Everything else you hear about how she wasn't covert.....etc.... is spin.

    Con man macro response F11:

"they never mentioned her status in the Libby trial. She was NOT covert."

in an unrelated story: OJ's DNA match was just a coincidence ...

She deserves more than anyone else in that case.

    Whhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Somehow the VP outs a covert CIA agent because her husband disagrees with his skewing of intel, and you call HER a criminal?

    Is this accurate?

    Plame Memo 2/12/02

The report forwarded below has prompted me to send this on to you and request your comments and opinion. Briefly, it seems that Niger has signed a contract with Iraq to sell them uranium. The IC [Intelligence Community] is getting spun up about this for obvious reasons. The embassy in Niamey has taken the position that this report can't be true — they have such cozy relations with the GON [Government of Niger] that they would know if something like this transpired.

So where do I fit in? As you may recall, [redacted] of CP/[office 2] recently approached my husband to possibly use his contacts in Niger to investigate [a separate Niger matter]. After many fits and starts, [redacted] finally advised that the station wished to pursue this with liaison. My husband is willing to help, if it makes sense, but no problem if not. End of story.

Now, with this report, it is clear that the IC is still wondering what is going on… my husband has good relations with both the PM and the former minister of mines, not to mention lots of French contacts, both of whom could possibly shed light on this sort of activity. To be frank with you, I was somewhat embarrassed by the agency's sloppy work last go-round, and I am hesitant to suggest anything again. However, [my husband] may be in a position to assist. Therefore, request your thoughts on what, if anything, to pursue here. Thank you for your time on this.

Byron York is a trumpeter for the fascist National Review -- a man who actually wrote a book called "The Vast Leftwing Conspiracy"... Oh the drama, Byron... tinfoil hat, need you?

there's nothing new here... her superiors requested that she write a memo, after one of them remembered her husband's previous work in that country... again, Joe Wilson was about the most qualified man on the planet to go back to Niger and check out the intel...

so she did... and so he did...

anyhow, peering through the smokescreen... once again:

Valerie Plame... covert right up until the summer of 2003... working on vital matterrs of nonproliferation ...

unfortunately, our government decided that crucial work was less important than its own waivering reputation ...

Ah yes no need to answer the substance of York's assertion, which reference documents placed into the public record during the Libby, because YOU don't approve of his politics...

There is no record anyone asked her to write the memo recommending Joe. She of course lied to the Senate committee when she claimed she had NOTHING to do with Joe going to Niger to sandbag the administration.

I didn't see vital matters or that her work was critical mentioned in the PDF of her employment status that was entered into evidence.

    From National Review:

More on Plame lying to the Senate Intel committee (different article BTW).

Mr & Mrs Wilson are liars and frauds who sought to undermine American foreign policy.

The complete memo where she recommends Joe to go to Niger.

nothing new here... her superiors asked her to write a memo consolidating her husband's qualifications for the job... and so she did... that's covered in her testimony, as well as Hubris, and a number of Newsweek reports that you're apparently to far in denial to ever read or acknowledge...

this is how pathetic it has gotten for pro-Bushies... ignoring all but the 1% of the farthest RW media .... clinging to the every word out of the National Review, Weekly Standard or Drudge ... nevermind official memorandums or main stream media reports... certainly she HAD to be just a low level "desk jockey".... lol...

"the evidence is clear"... "chained to a desk".. "outed herself"... would love to hear you attempt such laughable spin in front of any of her associates at the CIA... might wanna wear a helmet...

((this just in: OJ claims DNA evidence linking him to murders "merely a coincidence"... ))

Valerie Plame, at the behest of her superiors, relayed the qualifications of her husband, the most qualified man on the planet to check out intel reports in Niger... her husband found nothing to the bogus reports, trumpeted by Dick Cheney and his WHIG team... when Wilson's report was ignored, he wrote about it in the media... and the White House attempted to smear both him, and silence further CIA dissent by outing his wife, Ms. Plame, who was doing just about the most patriotic job imaginable -- hunting for intel on WMDs... how ironic...

this is the final nail in the coffin concerning her status at the CIA, and the fact that some people are holding on desperately to false reality speaks utter volumes... but then, we've come to expect that from the Bush League, and its followers...deny, destort, deflect, or resign for "family reasons" ...

that people are still giving this cabal "the benefit of doubt" is a case study in mythomaniac behavior... the kind of behavior persersive among desperate Bush worshippers, and the kind of behavior that cost them the 06 midterms and will cost them the 08 presidential race... keep lying to yourself, PF... good job!!

There is no way to expand upon that comment, it is what it is an uninformed person throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks.

Valerie Plame was "undercover" as her car was in the CIA headquarters parking lot at Langley. No more, no less.

People can try to spin that any way they want, but if anyone wanted to know who worked for the CIA, that parking lot would yield a lot of information, and you can bet the ranch that the Russians, the Chinese, and al qaeda know whose cars are parked at Langley.

Be patient, Valerie Plame will go to jail or come close to it, her "lies" will get her in deep trouble.

If Plame were a Republican and the roles were reversed the Democrat Assassination squad would be deamonizing and destroying her, the Democrats are professional savages, their specialty is destroying peoples lives who are in their way (look what they just did to Cindy)

The republicans are wimps, they don't have the killer instinct.

WHERE IS SANDY BURGLAR WHAT DID HE STEAL?

Maybe you should let the CIA know they are giving away their agents identities in the parking lots. Then again, how do you know the CIA hasn't taken steps to avoid that.

The responses to this re-re-revelation is hilarious! :singing: It goes to show how deeply deluded a select few on the right are...even to this day....in denying the undeniable TRUTH.

Oh yes, its Plame and her husband that were the ones lying, commiting fraud...not the neo-cons. She was not covert, undercover, etc etc. Comical!! :D

People...please try bring something more to the table than this. Its really embarrasing to have so many in the Republican party so far out of touch with reality on so many levels. But if we cant agree on basic facts (her status), how are we to discuss anything at all?

Now, move along kiddies and back to your daily dose of fiction from the liars that gave you "a smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud".
