You will be glad to know that I did lay down actual cash on NE. I knew they'd have that game. Cincy can't stop the run worth a crap. Anyways, I am recuperated, tan and have begun my annual "Sober October" regiment of self cleansing, so hopefully my mind will be a bit clearer with this next week's picks.

I keep looking at the lineup of football experts in Pro Football Weekly and their record each week and for the season so far. Granted, they are picking almost a full week before the game, but their results are shocking.

Myself and Pony suffered our first losing week, both going 4-8-2.

Best bets: nobody hit even one! (I somehow managed to only pick two).

And in fairness, I have to admit that Pro Football Weekly outperformed Pony and I, with all but two of their selectors managing better than 4-8-2 and three of them hitting 9-3-2.

I got killed last week in both college and the pros. All I can say is F**k Steve Spurrier! The bastard is leading by 7 with just over 2 minutes to go and goes for it on 4th and 2 or 3 from the 20 yard line or so, instead of kicking a very makable FG to go up by two scores.
