how ironic. peter king mentions the memo sent out but doesnt know that what parcells is doing is against the rules at least as per florio. Too bad, parcells has ESPN as his buddies so this wont get any coverage.

    Re: PFT on Fins tampering

It's not how many memos you ignore..it's who does this..if you are part of the clique, it is OK and ignored..if teh media doesn't like one, it goes on forever..talk about hypocrites..

    Re: PFT on Fins tampering

On a fundamental level, it is a double standard. But I think perception is important, and people view violations that occur on the field (or near it) as more serious than this draft and free agency stuff. I'm not saying it's right, just that that's how it is.

Plus, people hate the Patriots anyways, so it's no great leap.

I'm sure Pats fans everywhere are shocked. A coach who will agree to terms with a new team prior to the Super Bowl.... will maintain a similarly flagrant disrespect for the same rules as GM? Who would have thought? I hope Parcells falls pretty hard for this; after what he did to the Pats, he deserves it.

This is supposed to be about Parcells indescretions but why pass an opportunity to take a dig at Belichick right?

Now that Goodell has established that violating stupid rules is grounds for losing a first round pick, being fined $750K, and having your name dragged through the mud for an entire season, I care.

Goodell is focused in on only one team.
