Rachel Nichols of ESPN reported during Sunday NFL Countdown that Jets coach Eric Mangini has put the team on notice.

No one’s job is safe, Mangini told the team, per receiver Laveranues Coles.

In our view, Mangini knows that he needs to get more out of the players because he realizes that his own job is on the line.

Given the enormous investment that the Jets have made this year in an effort to become competitive in the AFC and in light of the fact that the AFC isn’t nearly as top heavy as it was in past seasons, anything less than a playoff appearance could put Mangini in the mix to become the next coach at Syracuse in 2009.

I so hope that team CRASHES AND BURNS.

Unfortunately, so far it's as if Buffalo heard his plea and is covering his play. Otherwise it probably would have been 21-6 Buffalo before the half...
