Would be a good 3 or 4 ,but not a 2... Would not mind if they also visit with Derrick Mason as well..

Free agent wide receiver Josh Reed has scheduled a visit to New England.

A league source tells PFT's Mike Florio that Reed will visit the Patriots on Sunday.

Reed is coming off a season in which he was largely phased out of the Bills' offense, catching just 27 passes for 291 yards.

In 2008 Reed had a career-high 597 receiving yards on 56 catches.

Nice. Good player, and a good fit for the Pats neospread. Need a couple more, but here's hoping they don't let him out of the building.

I'd be ok w/ Reed. He'll do both flanker and slot in this offense. Decent speed, but nothing to write home about...

At least he's an upgrade over Aiken. I'd welcome him into New England.

When I first read this, I thought we were giving up on Gost and going after Reed, the Steeler kicker. Thank goodness it's Josh Reed visiting not Jeff Reed.

i have always like reed. i think he would be a great 4th WR, working very well inside. and definitely fill in as welker's replacement inside while hes out

Don't forget that Tom Brady makes everyone around him a better player. I think he'd be better than a 4th WR with TB throwing him the ball. He was in Buffalo last year, so I'm not surprised his numbers were down.

Does he return the football. If so its an OK move.. but fricken hell I feel so underwhelmed about this.

How about (1) Moss, (2) Welker, (3) Reed, (4) Mason, (5) Aiken, (6) Tate, (7) edelman and (8) Drafted rookie

Don't know what to make of it hasn't reed been out of football? except that its a typical move, trying to ressurrect a player from the scrap heap.
