I'm very curious to see how you all would place the most frequent posters in this forum on the political spectrum based on your perception of their political views. So from left to right, if you want to, place their name on a line from farthest left to farthest right looking like this:

    A - B - C - D - E - F - G - H- I - J - K etc.

don't say anything to qualify your remarks so as to influence other posters, but simply put the names on the line and if it's too long, it can start on the next line with left being to the right of the right most member on the line before it.

I'm not trying to make any kind of point or argument I'm just very curious to see how peoples perceptions of where others are differ.

Yeah this thread sucks, I realized right after I posted it that no one was going to actually do it.

are you looking for a ranking order of who's the most liberal? most conservative? like NFL power rankings in vegas?

this begs another question: will there be point spreads in coming weeks? if an 'A' faces a 'Z', does it 'come off the board?'

i gotta be giving a touchdown to NEM... perhaps 7.5... he's no liberal...

Hmm. Some people really haven't posted on enough issues and others have one or two issues where they go against their grain, but here's my guess, left to right obviously:

    PC, PF1996
    Wildo7, Patters, Maverick, PatsFaninVA
Seymour, Scout, Mikey, Holy Diver, godef
    NEM
    GJAJ15, AAB
    Lifer
    bmf31c, Wistah
    Real World, FleaBassist, STFarmy
PiNY, Terry Glenn is a Cowgirl
    BF, Patsfan13, FTW
    FogBuster
    ELORocks, QuiGon
    Harry Boy

Did I leave out any of the fairly regular posters?

Don't include me in this kind of stuff, getting flashbacks to the 60's, I choose not to be labeled... and prefer to be independent.

yeah, sorry... i'm not the furthest left here, Patters... there are many issues i'm rather conservative about.... capital punishment and immigration among them.... i may be the most adamant against this illegal occupation of Iraq, but i'm not the furthest left...

This whole political spectrum thing doesn't mean anything, because being Conservative and being Republican/Neocon is not even close to the same thing anymore.

I am a registered Republican, I am a traditional conservative, however based on the past 7 years of idiocy, I am very vocal in my criticisms of pre-emptive warfare as well as in the subversion of government due to lobbying groups.

It's hard to do a spectrum rating when people like me are put in the liberal spectrum by some, simply because the neocon perspective is so extreme.

Only a couple "true lefties" on this board (i.e. you can count on them to take the left position on any issue). Those are Seymour, Patters and GJAJ

Hard core righties are prevalent - BF, FTW, Lifer, Harry, 3tobe4, Fleabssit, Quigon, Fog, PF13.

Rightwingers (1/2 step below hard core) - PFNY, RW, Turd, PatSB42

Leaning right - Wistah, patsblue, bmfc

    Leaning left - Holydiver, PressC

Independents (i.e. no ingrained bias) - Myself, PFanVa, Mikey, sdaniels, TerryGlenn

Strange, that I actually thought you were one of the few true "lefties" on this board. Which I really should not have because I did read your "who am I' spiel, and didn't get the impression that you were a true "lefty" from it.

Please do not categorize me, as this is something I abhor, my politics are born out of a lot of things, I am liberal on somethings but for the most part am pretty neutral and keep my mouth shut on many issues that I do not fully comprehend. I think I am becoming more of a Liberatarian than anything right now, and disdain most things of the Republican and Democratic machines. My hope is that someone, somewhere will step forth and represent the vast middle class not special interest groups or will focus on changing the status quo.

Remember GAJ, a label is what someone else thinks about you. That's somewhat meaningless in comparison to what you think about yourself. ;)

I agree with you there PC. You're way over on some specific issues, but very much central on some others. The problem here is that a few issues tend to dominate the forum, and lots of posters determine one's political persuasion by the line in the sand that is the Bush Administration.
