Per an article on PFT, if Giants win, the Eagles are eliminated.

The Giants, Cowboys, and Eagles can all finish 8-8 if the Giants beat the Jets.

The Eagles and Giants split.

The Eagles would have the better division and conference record.

Anybody know know what eliminates them?

Because if the Giants beat the Jets, they will be 8-7 and will play the 8-7 Cowboys (assuming, in your scenario, that the Eagles beat the Cowboys). If that occurs, then one team will have to be 9-7 (or in theory, both the Giants and Cowboys could finish 8-7-1). Thus, the Eagles, even at 8-8, would be out.

I like it better like this...........
If Giants win Saturday, Jets are ONE STEP CLOSER TO ELIMINATION!

Ahhhh 8-6 Cowboys

Thank you great Yoda.

A Giant win eliminates Philly and pushes the Jesters closer to being eliminated. Don't see any downside in that. Also, makes for an interesting final week matchup with Dallas/NY Giants. Winner is in. The loser will be out.

For all three teams to go 8-8, DAL has to lose out, PHI has to win out, and NYG have to go 1-1. But since DAL plays NYG in Week 17, that means NYG would have to beat DAL and lose to the JEST.

In any case, playoffstatus.com agrees with PFT: the Iggles cannot win a wild card spot, and are eliminated by ANY of the following:

Case 1
Giants beat the Jets
Case 2
Cowboys beat the Eagles
Case 3
Redskins beat the Eagles
Case 4
Cowboys beat the Giants

It couldn't happen to a nicer team..

I wouldn't want the Giants in there if I was a Packers fan.. I know they lost horribly to the Redskins last week, but still..
