    Umm.. Russell, Havlicek, Bird, Cowens all were more "ultimate Celts" than PP. Once KG walked in the door he eclipsed PP as a leader as well. Pierce is a mid tier HOF player with a long career, and should be honored for what he was and did here - but he's not the "ultimate" anything in Celtic history IMO - and I go back to the Fall of 1965 as a Celts fan.

    i go back to the seventies and pp is a all time great celtic and a hof. there is no such thing as a mid tier hof. you either are one or you arent.

    Obviously..

    Pierce is the ultimate Celtic of this generation, too many greats in front of him in Boston history.
