Wasn't Michael Gee the one who said we needed to lose a game?

Yup, he said we should have purposely lost to Jacksonville at the end of the year a few years ago. Good article here though.

Good read, find that comparison interesting.. history will tell.

I am pretty sure that Belichick's idol is Paul Brown, so it's not surprising there are many similarities.

Well Paul Brown is certainly one of the many coaches that BB lists when asked who his influences are.

But one difference we know is that BB players aren't afraid of him. Behind the scenes it sounds like he is fair game for teasing. Vrabel does a BB imitation in front of him.

Belichcik is certainly his generation's Pauil Brown and he would be honored to be mentioned in the same breath. Bill would never admit it, but I'm sure he thinks that the trophy symbolic of pro football championship ought rightly and should properly be the Brown trophy rather than the Lombardi trophy.

The ultimate compliment to Coach Belichick would to speak of him in the same context as Coach Brown.
