Any other tight ends available?

Two guys playing the same position with the same name!

What are the odds?

Apparently both Lengals are brothers. Their parents must have hated the fact they had twins and settled on one first name.

Good thing Gronk is healthy and we don't need this guy with zero catches and one start to contribute much! :D

Part of the reason for my boo-boo is that Lengel has been totally invisible since being signed. He and an injured Bennett are all we have right now given the release of the latest revolving-door practice-squad TE. That's awfully thin.

Might they use baby-Gronkowski or Develin as an emergency blocking TE? Develin can catch too, although he's a bit shrimpy for the position.

Signed from Bengals' practice squad:

Patriots sign TE Matt Lengel from Cincinnati practice squad

Seems to be a blocking-type TE:

Lengel could be Bengals' next blocking tight end

Plus baby-Gronk is back on the ever-revolving practice squad replacing some TE that we barely knew. bG's our new here-today-gone-tomorrow candidate.

Back last summer it seemed as though we had a small army of TE's.

Sure would be nice to have derby on the roster.

But thanks to bb, derby is making first downs for Denver now.
